Dolphins OL vs Steelers front 7 & and Polamalu. The weak link on the line IMO is (RG) Bennie Anderson. It s/b intersting to see how Rex Hadnot handles and regular season game at Center. Barnes (Miami's FB) is old school and will be fine. R Brown s/b be okay. His blocking skills were in part why Nick selected him. McMichael has improved but you never know.
I like Miami in this game. I thought it would be close before but now I think Miami wins by double digits. Hines Ward isn't 100% Roelisberger is out. 1st real game without the bus. The secondary has it's problem. I like Miami by 10+ in this game.

My signature vs. yours. Weeks 2 through 4 and 40 posts. You got the stones to back up that guess?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bears#1Fan)</div><div class='quotemain'>Do you have the STONES to put your avatar in the NFC north bet????</div> 1. Who's talking to you? 2. This is a thread on the Miami/Pittsburgh game. STAY ON TOPIC! 3. I don't bet my avatar.
Miami in Pittsburgh in a walk? That's crazy. Anyone want to bet double digits, please... I'll take it. Steelers won't lose at home by double digits to anyone. I didn't realize that Ben & Hines anchored the defense as well as the offense.
All I know is that Miami better win this game b/c if they don't you can bet I won't let their fans forget about it.
It looks to be a close game for sure. People don't realize how deep Pittsburgh's receiving corps is. I look for Ward to play but even if he doesn't contribute a whole lot, the Steelers still have Wilson Washington and Holmes. Add to that Willie Reid who may be just as fast as Holmes and Sean Morey who will play fifth if they need him. The Steeler D will be strong as ever and the Running game is at full strength. The Steelers will pull it out with a good game from Heath Miller, and hopefully some big returns from the special teams.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (manofsteel)</div><div class='quotemain'>People don't realize how deep Pittsburgh's receiving corps is.</div> After Hines Ward, the Steelers WRs have a total of 20 NFL starts....that is not good depth, im fact, thats pitiful....it should be a close game, but the Steelers WR depth is not a positive for them, its a negative....

I do have a question that you might be able to help me with, Bakes. How many times would Dolphins have to lose to the Steelers before we can assume the Dolphins are the better team? Does that only apply when talking about the Patriots?

Both of those Rookies beat out veterans for their spot on the roster. They have great depth based on talent, talent means alot more than experience as a WR. It's not as if we are talking about the QB posisiton. How would you say The Saints are at RB depth? their back-up has zero NFL starts....

WRs and RBs are different...if you can play RB, it shows immediately in this league....WRs dont translate as well early....if depth was measured by talent, then every team would be extremely deep at every position becuase every player in the NFL is a world class talent, but its not....after Ward, you only have 2 guys that have even played in more than 1 NFL game, so outside of your starters, you have 5 guys with 1 total catch....you got a 1st round draft pick that leads the league in arrests(so hes dumb and undisiplined), and a bunch of special teamers....yeah, thats some nice depth....I bet you cant name 5 NFL teams with worse depth at that position....

whatever it's old news. the fact that you're still hanging on to this like a wet blanky is disturbing & childish.

We could make a lot of money off some of the boneheads in here ... if they had any.

Look at Boldin...he had an outstanding year for a terrible team his rookie year. Look at the Dolphins...aside from Chambers you have Booker a veteran with comparable stats to Pittsburgh's Wilson then they have ONE other guy with ONE start.........compare that to the steelers who have a guy in Washington who had some catches in the postseason and the Two rookies that looked good all preseason.....that is much better depth considering one of the WRs was the first one taken in the draft. Outside of Miami's starters they have nothing...... so there is one team with worse depth Also, we both know that Chris Henry leads wll WRs in arrests, not to mention severity of those arrests.
You couldnt be more wrong about the comparison between rookie RBs and WRs...they are very different positions....one is almost completely instinctual while the other is about multiple reads and precision routes....its very rare for a rookie WR to have a good season(Boldin and Moss being the exceptions), but rookie backs come in and do well every year....RB is the easiest position to come in and succeed at, and there are a lot of examples of rookies having outstanding seasons(these are rookie rushing totals....Terrell Davis-1100 , Edge James-1500, Dickerson-1800, Abdul-Jabbar-1100, OJ Anderson-1600, Bettis-1400)....as you can see, its a mixture of superstars and avg running backs....in all, 43 RBs have run for more than a 1000 yards in thier rookie seasons....find me half that number of WRs that have done the same thing....in the last 10 years I could only come up with 3(moss, boldin, terry glenn), while there have been 10 times that number of RBs that have achieved the number....
