    Keyon Dooling is hands down my favorite Clipper. He actually ranks up there in my top 5 favorite players in the NBA (behind Kobe, TJ Ford, Odom, and Wade). He's a player that never really got a love from the fans or from the coaching staff on "the other LA team" but he has so much potential that I feel the Clippers really just let his talents rot away on the bench.

    In his little time at Mizzou he used to dominate with his quickness, leaping ability, length, and overall athleticism. I had high hopes for him when he was drafted by the Clips but a lot of injuries (mostly due to the fact that he has a tendency to try and dunk on everybody...even ben wallace) have slowed down his progress in the NBA. Still, I think that at 6'3 and with his long arms (not sure of his exact wing span but his arms almost look relatively as long as Cutino Mobleys) he could be a premier PG talent in the league. His shot needs some work, but his decision making has improved dramatically in the past year. He is very creative and sees the court well (when he wants to) and he has very good play making abilities.

    The biggest plus to his game though, I believe, could be his defense. I have watched many a Clipper game and just waited for the Clippers to let him loose to go clamp up the opposing teams PG. To my dismay, it rarely happens because Dunleavy won't give him the shot, but I have watched him get put up against TJ Ford and some of the other quickest pg's in the league and most of the time he is every bit as quick / athletic and a couple inches taller with a much longer wingspan. I think with the right coaching and the right opportunities he still could become a premier pg in the league and while I'll be sad to see the Clippers let him go (which I think will happen and I'd love to see him come to the Lakers) since they have seemingly committed to Livingston being the future (not unjustified) and I love watching his game so much.

    Has anyone else had a chance to watch him play a lot and any thoughts on his current abilities / future potential and possibly a team that might be able to use him and maximize his talents? I personally think he would fit in well on a team with a lot of sweet shooting spot up shooters, a team like a Seattle, Milwaukee, or Dallas. Either way, wherever he ends up, I hope his career takes off...imma big fan...

    Your making Keyon sound too good but I agree he is oozing with potential but him tendency to plan out exactly what he's gonna do before he does it puts a flaw in his game. He goes up and does the same move over and over in the same period and he does the move like 10 times. Keyon's had many chance's to prove what he can do Im willing to give him another chance as long he's not starting.

    Keyon is a 2 guard stuck in a PG's body and without the skills to play SG in the NBA. Injuries, inability to be a consistent playmaker etc have hampered him. I don't know, he's not going to be playing over Livingston that's all I'll say, and we have Jaric and House as backups, how many PG's are needed.

    Also I don't respect your opinion as much because of that sig "Kobe > MJ", brings you down a few levels :P

    this coming from a man who predicts that a player who cant even bench press 135lbs is going to be a 10 time all-star...

    im jk i think livingston is gonna be good...

    and my argument about kobe is gonna be strictly on a 'skill' basis...not an impact or 'greatness' basis...but we can talk about that later cuz i don't feel like having to explain myself to this board that is littered with those that fall into the latter part of my signature...

    That's why I said begins 2006-2007 [IMG], in terms of skill at the age Kobe is better, mental toughness, leadership, competitiveness, etc he needs a lot of work.

    -begin inside joke

    Brian = Keyon for life!!

    Me = J.O for life!!

    -end of inside joke

    My opinion on Keyon is that he's a never ending project. He seems like he's about to have a breakout season any time soon but I don't know when it is. If he gets traded (I think he will and should) I'll give him 2-3 years till he has a breakout season. If it doesn't happen in that time frame I don't think it'll ever happen [IMG]. But overall he's an athletic and entertaining player to watch. Hell, as a matter of fact, the whole Clippers team in general is entertaining and nice to watch. I just hope they'll someday go to the playoffs....

    agreed...hes got another couple of years before people stop believing he has any potential at all...

    with respect to Kobe, i feel that a lot of things about his game and his mentality will definitely change once he becomes the focal point of his team...its my personal opinion then that at that point in time, kobes already superior skill level (for his age) will develop into an all around game that will surpass Jordans level albeit i will still say he will never dominate the game Jordan did, but he does not have to in order to be 'better' than Jordan...

    i really hope livingston works hard on his game and his strength...i've seen some of the things he can do with the ball and he is a magician...would have liked to have seen him in a duke uniform for a couple years but hey, the money was there...cant pass up being a top 5 pick with a multi million dollar contract...i think hes got a chance to be something special in the league...but only time will tell...lookin forward to watching him play starting saturday in summer pro league

    I'm pretty sure he's not playing in Summer League, he has a minor foot injury.
