I am posting this as a closed thread - if you have questions about the competition, or comments, please continue your post here: http://www.nfl-forums.com/forums/announcem...ition-5424.html I wanted to post a few hints on how to win the competition...and some observations from what I have seen: [listo][li]The key to this game is going to be referrals. Obviously making a lot of quality posts is definitely going to help (BF1 suggested posting 200 times per day - that would probably do the trick, actually). Once one of your referrals reaches 5 posts, you get a lot of points, then after 5 posts, you get 3 points for every post they make. That's a quick route to winning the competition.[/li] [li]MAKE SURE THAT PEOPLE YOU REFER ACTUALLY POST! We had about 20 signups to the forums yesterday - over half didn't make a single post. You don't get points if they don't participate.[/li] [li]We had a good surge of referrals yesterday, but it has slowed down dramatically today. Consistency is going to be key. The competition is over a month long...not a couple of days.[/li] [li]Make sure you use the correct referral URL. I've already had to go in and verify a few 'mistake' referrals - I can't guarantee I'll have the time or energy to manually give you credit for a referral..[/li] [/listo] So far, I have been really happy with the competition. I am really hoping you guys are able to turn this into a success (and we have a ways to go before we can consider it a success). In talking to possible sponsors for this competition, many of them were looking to see whether or not it would be worth their time. If I can show sponsors in the future how successful a competition like this is for NFL Forums, I can get even better prizes than we have now... I'd love to be able to offer even bigger prizes in future competitions. If you have any questions, you know how to reach me. Keep up the good work with the contest - here's to looking forward to a great season on NFL-Forums.com!
