<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Celtics forward Kevin Garnett was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday March 17 through Sunday March 23, 2008.

Garnett helped the Celtics achieve a 3-1 week in which they defeated San Antonio, Houston and Dallas in three consecutive games on the road for the first time since February of 1987. Garnett averaged 20.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 block per game. Garnett also recorded three double-doubles during the week.

This is the 17th time in Garnett’s career that he has been named the NBA’s Player of the Week and the second honor for Garnett this season. His last honor came earlier this season for the week ending November 12, 2007 when he averaged 22.7 points, 15.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game during a 3-0 week against Denver, Atlanta and New Jersey.</div>
