did they mention anything about what team he may want to go to? if this kg marbury reunion happens i think the knicks make the playoffs next season.
AHHHH. How come whenever there is a trade rumor the Knicks and Lakers are automatic frontrunners?I think he goes to a smaller type of team, maybe a trade to the Warriors for a J Rich type package.
Steven A.Smith reported on the half that possible teams would be LALAKERS, Chicago?, LALakers, Dallas possibly. and he was shocked to say Starbury back to minny.
Um...where did they get their information from? Because I have heard NOTHING, actually far from it, that Garnett wants out of Minnesota.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JustBlaze @ Mar 29 2006, 09:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>lmfao, now Mr Wolf knows more than ESPN.</div>If ESPN is reporting that Garnett is asking for a trade then I think it would be on the local TV here and it would be on espn.com or espn news, don't you think? My guess is this how the interupt the Garnett rant that he had on Sunday.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JustBlaze @ Mar 29 2006, 09:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>No, because ESPN has sources who they don't</div>ESPN has sources that ESPN.com and ESPN News doesn't? Hmm...interesting.The only thing on ESPN.com about Kevin Garnett is this:http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2389608
They never said that KG asked for a trade. Stephen A. Smith simply stated that from what he's hearing, he expects Garnett to talk to the T'Wolves owner this summer and ask to be moved. He also mentioned that both Dallas and the Lakers are interested, and said that there are talks around the league that Kevin McHale is entertaining the thought of acquiring Marbury, but he doesn't expect that to happen at all.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JustBlaze @ Mar 29 2006, 10:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I was referring to the local news obviously, don't be a jackass.I'm sure it will be up there soon.</div>First off, the local writers and radio personalities (who I am listening right now on Wolves After Dark) have better sources within the Timberwolves than ESPN. It's like that everywhere. The guys who talk to the owner and GM everyday and follow the team everyday are going to know more than the national media who watches from a distant. Marc Stein does not know everything about the Timberwolves. Chad Hartman has more sources from the Timberwolves than David Aldridge. It's just that simple. And if Kevin Garnett DEMANDED a trade, and ESPN got that report, it would be on ESPN.com under Breaking News and be on ESPN News in the corner under Breaking News. This is just ESPN trying to "read into" what Garnett said the other day.
If he makes a big deal of this, he will definitely be traded since that's the way it goes. But then again, i read that the GM for MIN won't trade him, which will screw up team chemistry so badly. And if he does happen 2 be traded, it'll most likely be for another All Star.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JustBlaze @ Mar 29 2006, 10:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>You may be right, but they wouldn't post it on SC if it's not true at all.</div>Like I said, they must have been trying to interupt Garnett's quotes from Sunday where he talked about not wanting to go through another losing season. There have been no talk of him actually wanting out of Minnesota. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't a very good move by ESPN to write out the headline like that.
OK OK I shouldnt have named it this, but more like "KG looking for a trade?". Either way it was on ESPN and its close to him possibly asking so yeah i think it will probably happen.
I'm willing to put $100 on it that Kevin Garnett is a Timberwolf next season. Anyone want to take me up on that bet?Kevin Garnett after today's game against Orlando:"I'm not asking to be traded. I didn't mention any trades. I said for the city and for my own sake that I thought I was well deserving of having another chance of getting to the Western Conference Finals. Losing sucks. I hate losing. I just want to have a well-deserving team."
