I am excited to become a Celtic,” Garnett said. “It’s wonderful to have the opportunity to play with players the quality of Paul (Pierce) and Ray (Allen). The Celtics have had a proud tradition and now I hope that we can add to the legacy.”
Eventhough I'm not a celtic fan I'm glad to see these 3 great players having an opportunity to win a title.....best of luck to them, except when they play the Rockets........then they can all go to hell.

does anyone know if there is any particular reason why he chose 5 tho? obviously 21 is retired , thank you VC, but why 5? just curous.
I'm happy for Garnett. At least he's in a better situation now and should just power over everyone in the East. <font color="SeaGreen">Let the Celtic Bandwagon BEGIN!!!</font>
it will be fun to watch the celtic franchise in playoffs and doing well again. unless they all get injured and dont make playoffs..
Wow, this is almost unfair...instant offense 3 ways... Now if only they could get a good point guard...
<div class="quote_poster">DIRK4L1FE Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Is it just me or did Paul Pierce put on a few pounds? At least in the face.</div> I noticed that the last year or two as well, looks a lot fatter then a few years ago.

It's funny how Ray Allen being traded there made a huge impact on his decision. It seems like not so long ago his agent was saying he didn't want to play in Boston.
