Things haven’t been going very well for British fighters when fighting against world champions. First we saw Ryan Rhodes get totally schooled in a 12th round knockout against WBC junior middleweight champion Saul Alvarez in June, and then came WBA heavyweight champion David Haye who was made to look like an unskilled amateur against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

And now we’ve got WBA Super World light welterweight champion Amir Khna (25-1, 17 KO’s) taking on IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah (41-6, 28 KO’s) in a unification bout on July 23 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Like Haye, Khan is confident to the point of being ultra cocky and is even looking past Judah already.
