He would have been a nice fit along side Nenad in the front court, but as the article states, it would have been tough for the Nets to sign him since the Sonics would have probably matched any reasonable offer he got.
Evans would have been nice for the right price....but I dont think he is someone the Nets will overly persue next year, when he is unrestricted. Evans is a question mark on whether he is a starter, quality backup yes...but starting Power Forward I dont know...and next offseason the Nets cant settle for anything less then a starting Power Forward, if they plan on winning a championship during the Kidd era.
