Mike McGraw:

QUOTE

One potential deal with matching salaries would have the Bulls sending Hinrich and Ben Wallace to New Jersey for Kidd and center Jason Collins.
This could work for the Nets because it adds a veteran presence to their group of young big men and replaces Kidd with a much-younger player who comes with cost-certainty since he's signed through 2012.

Snowball, meet Hell.

Well Paxson would have to be fired for the Bulls to trade Kirk and if Paxson is fired, I so no chance that Skiles is still the coach

Part of me thinks ghoti would like seeing Kidd go through this ruckus...only to be paired with Skiles

I'm not so sure that Paxson and Skiles are that tied to the hip. When Skiles was up for contract renewal, it took Reinsdorf getting involved to make the deal happen, and it happened in just a few minutes when he did get involved. There was talk that Skiles was wanted in Detroit at the time...
History says that Paxson would fire a coach when the team's record is 4-14 and do wholesale changes to rebuild the team - see Bill Cartwright.
The deal does work as proposed. I don't see Pax pulling the trigger, nor do I see why the Nets would want Wallace and his big contract for the next 3 seasons.

Trading for Kidd would be a mark of insanity by the Bulls. I might overload the server if I had to write out all the reasons it's a bad idea.

I don't want two Boone's, but I do want two Sean Williams
Duhon, Nocioni, and Tyrus for Kidd if we go with the Bulls

Take lemon lime soda and add just enough cola to get the color right then shake in a bar shaker. It was amusing to watch people complain when served the real thing and then be happy with the "constructed" version.

Jason Kidd would then drop 4 triple doubles on us every season, at the least. If the Nets feel the need to tade him... OUT WEST!
-Petey
