A trade of Jason Kidd for Miller and Nene sounds like a solid trade right now. It looks like a solid trade as it would free up the Nuggests frontcourt and give them a good shot of getting deep in the playoffs with Kidd at the point. For New Jersey, they get rid of Kidd's contract and get younger in the process.

Miller can push the ball and has shown that he can rack up assists in the past. He just hasn't had the opportunity to do so because Melo has been dominating the ball. Nene is a promising, young big body that can play both PF and C. He could really do some damage in the East and will give the Nets a solid option on the front court. If this trade happens, the Nets will have...

    PG - Andre Miller
    SG - Vince Carter
    SF - Richard Jefferson
    PF - Nene
    C - Jaron Collins

In the east, this looks like a solid team. Of course, you lose the intangibles that Kidd gives, his leadership and prowess and his incredible passing ability, but you solidify your roster overall, get younger and cut costs. This seems like the best option for a team that is in the process of rebuilding. Not to mention, they still have a couple first round picks left and some cap space to sign free agents.

    My thoughts.

If this ever goes thorugh, I will look at the Nets as a more serious team however, I doubt Denver will do it. Miller is a great fit for them and, Nene is a good big man off the bench. Jason Kidd is still yet to prove himslef after his injury so, it might take place if Kidd can play well. I If Kidd does well it will be a good trade for everyone because the Nuggets like to push the ball and Kidd is a fastbreak wizard. I do think that the Nuggets will want someone else that the Nets dont have. Maybe a third team should be involved in the deal.

*If that trade happend....i'd pick the Nets to be in a tie with the Heat to win the conference. DEFINATELY THE DIVISION.

I think this trade will help both teams as well as the players. Even with Vince coming to the team, I doubt Jason thinks he is the player that can help take the Nets far in the playoffs. Jason will tremendously help the Nuggets on both ends of the floor, and he knows with him this team can make a serious run at the title. And the Nets, of course, as NuSpace said it will get younger and save money. Let's do this trade [IMG]

I would love to see this happening,Andre Miller isn't handling the rock so much in Denver as he should,If this trade goes down I see Miller being a 10 apg player again.

I doubt this happens a major reason the Nets brought Vice Carter to Jersey because of the billing "Jason Kidd to Vince Carter" thats going to put alot of people in the building. And thats the reason why the Toronto deal was done.

I would do the deal from a personal standpoint, if and only if Kidd still wants out. But that doesnt seem like the case. Andre Miller stock as a point guard has dropped this season because of the way he is running that Denver club. And if you think about it, this is very similar to his year with the Clippers, when everybody was expecting him to be that missing floor General for a Clippers team that just missed the playoffs the season before he was traded for D-Miles. But he went their and struggled running that team. So I have a bit of questions about his ablity to led a team with high expectations. And you have to be able to do that as a Floor General. But I would still do it if Kidd wanted out cause thats the best deal that would be available to the Nets. But if Kidd's happy I wouldnt be pushing him out the door at this point. Nets are a bigbody away from being a legit contender again in this league. And acquiring a legit big can be addressed in the offseason, so 2005-06, we have a legit chance to be right back in the hunt.

I'd love to see this happen as a Nets and as a KMart fan. Nets will get younger and healthier. THey'll also get an above decent PF. Then Denver will get the Kidd to Martin alley oops.

But it is impossible at this point.

After the Clippers, Andre was never the same. In Denver, it seems as if Carmelo just does his own thing, which attributes to the lack of assists for Andre. If not, then Denver runs some horrible plays.

I'd like the trade to happen, but then it'd put Vince Carter back in a leadership role, which he hasn't responded so well in the recent past. I'd prefer Kidd being the team leader and in a position to dictate the game. Hopefully the Nets will find a powerforward somewhere and fast.

i believe this will help both teams out tremendously.

finally carter can have a good point gaurd to dish him the rock. nene can get some post work with collins for the nets orginaization.

And for the nuggets they will finally be able to use K-marts full potential.

It depends what the Nets want to do. If they were trying to rebuild their team and get more depth at the same time, then this wouldn?t be a bad trade at all. Andre has proven he can be a good PG, because even though he only accomplished this for 1 season, it was still a great achievement of averaging 10 apg. If he plays in the right system and has the right weapons beside him, I believe he could average 10 dimes again.

But you also have to ask yourself; will Miller be able to make the other players better? I know I said he can still average 10 apg but will he be able to be the playmaker that Jason was to the Nets, and will he be able to actually lead a NBA team to success?

If the Nets were looking to rebuild their team around RJ, this wouldn?t be a bad trade. They get a little more cap relief and a little more size in their frontcourt.

This trade sounded nice, you get to have kidd with kmart again and vc around reliable big men. But i dont think it will work out since vc probably came to nets to build something with kidd.
