<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J.–As the New Jersey Nets practiced here this morning, their leader was across the river in a New York doctor's office.

Jason Kidd, the future Hall of Famer who drives the Nets, was having a sore left knee examined by team physicians and did not practice.

The point guard was at the Nets facility for a tape session before being sent to the doctor, New Jersey coach Lawrence Frank said today.

Team officials said there was slight swelling in Kidd's left knee.

Frank said the trip to the doctor was precautionary more than anything. "He just bumped it. We wanted to take precaution so we'll see where it’s at," said the coach. "He just had some discomfort. We’ll leave it to the doctors. I don’t want to fuel speculation. This is all we know."

Kidd is being listed now as a game-time decision for tomorrow's Game 3 of the series but Nets teammates expect him to be in uniform.</div>

He probably will be playing my guess, and probably put up similar stats as he usually does.

I'd worry about Carter going off. If Carter shoots 50-60% we might be in trouble.

Its a tough chore to keep up with TJ. Ford and Jose Calderon both guys (by way of the penetration) can put pressure on Kidd and hopefully slow him and his wonky knee down. Moreover if the series goes 6 or 7 this stuff can only benefit the raptors - - especially if they shorten the lay-off in between games as is the case for the firday/sunday games.
