<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Why did Nuggets GM Kiki Vandeweghe feel the need to acquire another forward when the team's biggest need was at shooting guard? -- Matt, Denver Matt - Your question has probably been answered by now with the acquisition of Wesley Person. But I think the Nuggets would have considered trading Nikoloz Tskitishvili and Rodney White for Eduardo Najera and Luis Flores without the first-round pick Golden State threw in. When the Warriors included the pick, the deal became nearly impossible to turn in the eyes of Denver's decision-makers. With the new draft pick we just got in the trade, how many picks are we now holding for the next draft? -- Al Griego, Greeley, Colo. Al - The Nuggets have their own pick. Unfortunately for them, they will probably also own Washington's. The reason I say unfortunately is the Wizards look like locks for the playoffs. If they had failed to make the postseason, which is usually as automatic as the sun rising in the east, the pick would have been protected and the Nugs would have had access to a better one down the road. The only potential silver lining for Denver is the fact that many younger players may jump into this year's draft out of fear that the NBA will set a higher age limit with its new collective bargaining agreement. That should make the draft deeper, perhaps increasing the value of an otherwise so-so pick. Mr. Thompson: My 12-year-old son is a fan of Carmelo Anthony and would like an address to write to in order to request an autograph from Mr. Anthony. I've searched the 'Net to no avail. Can you help me? My son and I would be grateful! -- Sandi Streeter, Eau Claire, Wis. Sandi - No promises on results, but the easiest thing to do would be to write Carmelo care of Pepsi Center, 1000 Chopper Circle, Denver, CO 80204. Best of luck.</div> Source
