Although we've stunk, you have to keep in mind that our 1st four games have been the home season openers for all of them, and very tough teams to boot. The fact wer'e getting used to a new system, Hagelin out, Callahan no pre-season, now the Nash injury, MDZ still on the ice has made us look far worse than it seems. The D needs to refocus, The King will play better and I believe you will see JT Miller and Krieder up any time now. If we can get back 3-6 I don't think that will be to bad. This team will play better, lets just hope we don't dig ourselves to big a hole. As usual special teams will be crucial if we hope to make any kind of surge.

Puck, please do not disrupt the meltdown tone of the board. We suck :)

Crazy meltdown tone. How dare anyone say we stink right now after getting outscored 15-2 over the last two games. That is all anyone is saying, but I guess that is meltdown tone per 31. Doesn't meet his approved discussion topics. We should either say: A) Who cares. Doesn't matter we will still be very good this year. It is only 4 games, so let's not even talk about them. Or B) Pretend these games didn't happen. Don't worry about it until game 65 or so. And then have nothing to talk about until March.

    Take your pick...:).

It's not really a meltdown because they've pretty much stunk since game 1. The LA game they got a few lucky bounces and caught the Kings napping.

That's it sc. They have stunk. That is real. They will get better, how can they not from 15-2. How much better...we'll find out. No one is melting down. People are just being real. We have stunk so far. That is all I am saying. Nothing bigger than that.

Right, they certainly will get better, though it may take a month or two, and honestly I don't see them squeaking in this year, but they may get fairly close to a playoff spot. IMO it would be better if they finished with a lottery pick like the Devils did to get an impact talent, but obviously not tank on purpose.

Being a KC Chief fan i see some parallels with this team, 2-14 with poor QB/coaching but 6 ProBowlers, so adding a new coach/system(Reid, A.Smith)and a few good FA gets them probably all the way near the playoffs :) this year. The Rangers have 3-4 AS caliber players but now have a new coach/system and the ability to add some FA next year and jump back in the mix quickly. Each team has the ability to contend for a SB/SC within 2-3 years, though it will be harder in hockey since top 4-5 teams will be there for awhile too.

Finishing in the middle of the pack, year in and year out, they will never obtain
the exceptional talent. They have amassed a group of average hockey players.
Granted, it is not easy to get great talent, especially with 32 teams in this league.
Luck. They need a whole lot of it.

YEAH!.....its not a new meltdown either, with Biron in the net we are going to get Handed again 5-1. Good because now is the the time for Talbot to bring in a new era and some energy.

All you cryers its not AV's fault the Rangers couldnt ever play open hockey
