Kim Davis wants to sue Kentucky's governor for not bailing her out

    Rowan County, Kentucky clerk Kim Davis isn't going to continue on business as usual.

    In a Monday news conference, one of her lawyers said she's now pursuing a lawsuit against Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear (D) for not providing Davis an accommodation regarding same-sex marriage licenses due to her religious beliefs.

    Beshear had previously said the matter is between her and the courts and he wouldn't intervene.

    "Gov. Beshear has been very eager to pass this hot potato to someone else," Liberty Counsel's Chief Litigation Counsel Harry Mihet told reporters Monday, adding while there's been a lot of talk about Davis not doing her job, it's time for Beshear to do his.
