Peeler had spent the last six season with the Minnesota Timberwolves before being traded during the offseason along with teammate Joe Smith to the Milwaukee Bucks for Sam Cassell and Ervin Johnson. The Bucks waived Peeler 10 days after the trade. Peeler, 34, was a first-round draft choice out of Missouri by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1992 draft. He was traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies in 1996 before being traded to the Timberwolves in 1998. This past season Peeler played in all 82 games for Minnesota, starting 39 times. He averaged. 7.7 points per game and 3.0 assists. </div> Soild signing by the Kings..but this must mean Kings won't be re-signing Jim Jackson
Booo! I was really hoping he would sign with the T'Wolves... contray to what people think he is a solid player and can contribute in ways needed (other than points) when he can... he had his worst season shooting last season... but Im sure he will bounce back I think if he did resign with the T'Wolves he would have gotten more playing time... but who knows
JJ will be a lot better! IMO he would have got less PT than last year, when he was a starter. I hope he can contribute to the Kings, but even Gill was better I think. Well, at least I liked him more.
So they get rid of Keon Clark in order to sign Jimmy Jackson (which I thought was stupid in the first place) and then they don't even end up with Jimmy Jackson. I dunno, I don't really like this..
Another offensive weapon for the Kings. Peeler will be a nice addition because he is solid from outside and when Peja goes to the bench, they won't lose much from the perimeter with Peeler in there.
