    or Kirk for Jamal (Heh!)
    or Kirk for Marvin Williams?

    I think the Wiz would do any of those deals. I think the Hawks would probably do the first or third.

    This is a really good trade for both teams.

    Kirk gives Atlanta a guy who plays like a really old Mike Bibby, but who's younger.

    Jamal is a really good fit next to Wall.

    This is an even better trade for the Hawks. They slide Johnson to the 3 for plenty of stretches and play Kirk/Jamal/JJ/Smith/Horford which is, really, a pretty damn good lineup.

    Trading Jamal for Kirk didn't seem to make much sense to me for the Hawks

    Is Bibby nuts or something? I think for the Wiz they're just trying to get whatever they can for the future
    + Bibby is a couple million cheaper to be Wall's backup
    + They get a 1st rounder from this past draft of iffy value (Jordan Crawford)
    + They get a 1st rounder from the Hawks, which, I guess is worth something.

    Their big problem is they've got a bunch of bigs who look good in theory, but in reality can't play a lick of defense against other NBA bigs.

    Atlanta just got a lot better. They have some heart now and a lot more basketball sense. If Orlando doesn't get their collective heads out of their asses, I think Atlanta takes Orlando in the first round.

    Really, because they didn't exactly move the ball to begin with. It should actually improve.

    Right, it was the subtraction of Hinrich, not the presence of a real coach or the influx of half a roster of real talent.

    Seems Hinrich was easily replaced by Keith Bogans and the team's record greatly improved, as well as Rose's game.
