Recently, Gordan Giricek has worked his way into Jerry Sloan's doghouse. He only played 11 minutes in an OT game vs. the Blazers, and he used to start for the Jazz. Now Raja Bell is starting, doing a solid job but nothing spectacular. In his last game, Raja went for 0 points in 16 minutes. Kirk Snyder however has slowly increased his minutes game by game, and went for 26 minutes against Portland, the most of Utah's 3 SG's.

What do you think about the possibility of Kirk Snyder starting for Utah?

Well, Raja did play shitty yesterday, going 0- for something. Kirk played awesome and played a big part in winning us the game by hitting that 3, and then making that layup towards the end.

However, I still think he's too young, and Raja has more experience. Let Raja start, but definetely give Kirk some playing time.

I don't see why not, Raja seems to play better coming off of the bench. I think he has to see how the game is going to see how to play, a lot of people play better off the bench, and I think Raja is one of them. While Kirk is playing well here of late, I would give him a shot to start. If it doesn't work out Sloan can always sub him out for Raja or Giri. Anyways, why is Giricek in Sloan's Doghouse? It seemed like he was playing well earlier in the season, anyone know?

Isn't Snyder that guy who put it around his body and dunked? Anyway, I think they should keep things the way they are. Giricek's shooting is lethal along with Boozer, down low. Great 1-2 punch. If Snyder is as good as I saw I think he will be a great option off the bench. Besides he is still a rookie and can learn a lot.

    What's wrong with Giricek [IMG]
I hope he can get back to his form and his minutes soon...

IMHO, Snyder is good but it's still early to field him in the starting 5 since bell is doing well at the moment...

I'm not sure what Giricek did to get into Sloan's doghouse, it hasn't been very well documented. I'll post it when I get it, if I get it. Based on his play I don't think Giricek has done anything to be demoted to the bench like that.
I'd give Snyder a shot at starting, he's played well in the minutes he's been given, and Raja seems to perform better coming off the bench. He's more consistent, when he starts you don't know what will happen. Latest game for Raja 21 points, game before, 0. Starting a rookie might give Giricek some motivation to practise and play harder. If it doesn't work you can always sub him.
