It would be cool seeing wallace in new york but most likly if things work out in detroit meaning if they make it to the eastern finals or finals he might stay there and i dont think crawford would come to new york because he plays point guard same position as marbury meaning his minutes would take a huge shot and his numbers would go down because he would have so many guards in front of him like houston, marbury, penny, and other guys like norris who he would be fighting for minutes with

I think the New York Knicks, in the offseason should sign Rasheed Wallace if Possible, trade Vin Baker and Tim Thomas for a 2 gaurd in a sign and trade deal*kobe*. My reason for trading Timmy Thomas and Vin Baker because Mike Sweetney needs to develop, this guy has potential he reminds me of shaq but smaller. Mike Sweetney will be a key component in the knicks future and he needs to get better in order to do so.

I just hope they get Tracy McGrady. I wouldnt mind buying season tickets to go see him play every night. But I HIGHLY doubt that the Bulls will give up Crawford. He has too much potential and might end up being their franchise player.

As for Rasheed...There is a chance they could get him. Wallace said he want to go on the Knicks. Depending on how the Pistons do in the Playoff's might affect Wallace decision on whether he should stay with the Pistons or join the Knicks. Just imagine....

    G- Stephon Marbury
    G- Tracy McGrady
    F- Tim Thomas/Penny Hardaway
    F- Kurt Thomas
    C- Rasheed Wallace

    I smell NBA Champions...

I would give Thomas for someone else and put Mahommed on center.

You smell NBA champions?? Rasheed Wallace and Tracy McGrady will want there 15-20 shots a game when they come onto a struggling knicks team. TMac will want his 25 ppg atleast day in day out, that wont work its a team game and McGrady cant handle being a side step or second option. Rasheed is the same story though currently his is doing great in Detroit.

I don't feel that TMac and Rasheed will clash at all. Wallace has pretty much cleaned up his act and just wants to be contending for a title. When you are brought to a team with other all-stars, there is going to be sacrifices that you would have to take. Just like Payton is doing right now.

If TMac is aquired then, Marbury will have to play the regular point guard role, and just set plays, run the transistion and find open people. The majority of the shots SHOULD be takin by McGrady. But Marbury should get his share regardless.

as much as I love Marbury I only see T-Mac in NY working if the deal involved marbury and they managed to nab a "pass first" PG like Brent Barry, I doubt that would be in NY's best interest though.

If it came down to that I would rather see no T-Mac [IMG]

I would like to see a starting 5 like this:

    pg - marbury
    sg - mcgrady
    sf - t.thomas
    pf - k.thomas
    c - mohammed

------> i'd say that this team would work out great, with really just two pure scorers in marbury and t-mac, who can also make an impression defensively - surrounded by role players like both kurt and tim to put up numbers when needed, both on offense and defense. mohammed to grab a great deal of rebounds and blocked shots, as well as scoring around 10 ppg. in addition, you have players like hardaway, frank williams and moochie norris as backups .. i mean, i think starbury will function great along with another superstar player, y'all saw him with KG in minnesota? saying marbury is like no team player is foolishness i think. he only starts to look for his own shots when needed, and he really found kurt thomas this season. imagine him handling the ball to look for t-mac ...

at least, this is what I think ...

How do you guy's plan on getting Tracy McGrady into New York. I dont hink he's a free agent this year and he doesnt want to leave Orlando, say if you did get him wouldnt the knicks have cap space problems and you would have to give a good player or two to get him. The knicks should pick up Darius Miles off the market he would be great to go along with Stephon Marbury, he could finish and marbury could dish. If the Knicks brought in TMac for Tim Thomas and Kurt Thomas i think this would be the Knicks Lineup:
    PG-Stephon Marbury
    SG-Tracy McGrady(until houston is back)/DerMarr Johsnon
    SF-Tracy McGrady/Darius Miles/DerMarr Johnson
    PF-Mike Sweetney/Dermarr Johnson
    C-Nazr Mohammed/Dikembe Mutumbo/Mike Sweetney
IF Tracy McGrady is a free agent this off season and the Cap space works out this would be my projected line up:
    PG-Stephon Marbury
SG-Tracy McGrady(they would probably get rid of houston some how)/DerMarr Johnson
    SF-Tim Thomas/Darius Miles/DerMarr Johnson
    PF-Kurt Thomas/Mike Sweetney/DerMarr Johnson
    C-Nazr Mohammed/Dikembe Mutumbo/Mike Sweetney

That's next to impossible, seeing as nobody would want that contract.

you guys are making your rosters with basically everybody the knicks still have plus tmac. you have to get rid of ppl if you want tmac this year or you are going to have to wait till he b/c a fa. it seems you guys a dreaming a bit, you wont have marbury, tmac,tt,kt,nazr. you're going to have to give a lot up for tmac, he doesnt come cheap. he said if he does wana leave, that he would go by trade so the magic could at least get something instead of him being a fa and them gettin nothing. unless you get a 3team trade or 4team trade where you wont have to lose that much talent, but orlando would want a lot for a top 5-10 player (wherever you wana rank him). so saying those lineups is just unrealistic. if u add kobe's name instead of tmacs, then that could be a possibility b/c kobe is a fa.

^ Actually Kobe sounds just as impossible as T-Mac under those circumstances. Kobe will be looking for a max contract, and the Lakers said they are not willing to do a sign-and-trade deal. Without a sign and trade the most the Knicks could offer is the mid-level exception, which is somewhere around 4-5 million a year. To make the Lakers change their minds on the sign-and-trade deal, they would have to offer a lot of good players with decent contracts, and wouldn't do it for a guy involving Alan Houston who is also a SG. They'd have to have a huge blockbuster including many teams to make that possible.

I don't think this will be a very big offseason for the Knicks, and I really don't want it to be. The key is to get their players healthy and get a little experience with eachother. I like the current team they have, and I think even without any changes the Knicks will be a much better team next season.

All of you guys have "great" plans to bring in all these guys, but its not going to happen. How are you going to get Tracy McGrady and Rasheed Wallace, and not give up anyone? Did you forget about Allan Houston's monster contract? I hope they ship out Houston, but not many teams are looking for an Overpaid, slowing down and getting injured all the time, jump shooter.

Haha yeah. The Knicks would be lucky to even get Wallace.

well I have heared rumors that the knicks have also took intrest in possible obtaining kobe bryant from the lakers so I guess it would be a sort of all star back court witch could be a problem but I think not because marbury was second in the league in assists last year with kobe on the team he could probable lead the league but I dont think there would be a problem cause marbury is not a selfish player like he is not a shoot first guard like payton he is a pure guard and one of only two guards along with oscar robertson to average 20 points and 8 assists for his career
