After being inspired by Swish15, I thought about making a thread like this. It?s kind of like the other one?s we?ve done before, but these questions are based on next season and the future. Answer the questions and explain why. Below, you can easily just copy and paste the questions.

    1) Will Frye prove he was worth an 8th pick overall in the draft?

2)Out of all the rookies in the draft, who do you think will have the best career?

    3) Which rookie will log the most minutes.

    4) Who will the first all-star be on the team ? Ariza, Lee, Robinson, Frye, or Sweetney? (if he?s still around)

    5) You haveQ, TT, and JC. Who do you put on the bench to play a 6th man role?

    6) Assuming the roster is as it is now, what will the starting lineup look like?

    7) Who will be our MVP this season?

    8) Who will be our Rookie of the Year?

    9. Who will lead us in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, steals, and blocks?

    10. Will we make the playoffs?

    11. Who do you think will be most improved from last season?

    12. Will we have an all-star next season?

    13. BONUS QUESTION: Dunk Contest: Nate Robinson, David Lee or Trevor Ariza?

    1) Will Frye prove he was worth an 8th pick overall in the draft?
I think so. Maybe my optimism/bias is taking over, but I believe we did get a good choice in Channing. We get an athletic big man who is pretty skilled and a hard worker which is exactly what we need. If he works hard with Aguirre, the sky is the limit for him.

2)Out of all the rookies in the draft, who do you think will have the best career?
I think David Lee will. I really love his game and the consistent energy he brings to the table. I do see Nate Robinson being good, but for some reason, I feel as if David Lee will simply be a bit better.

    3) Which rookie will log the most minutes.
To me, Frye, because he is the tallest and can play center ? a position we are lacking miserable in.

    4) Who will the first all-star be on the team ? Ariza, Lee, Robinson, Frye, or Sweetney? (if he?s still around)
They?re not many centers around; Frye gets the nod.

    5) You haveQ, TT, and JC. Who do you put on the bench to play a 6th man role?
Well, when motivated, TT does well so perhaps putting him on the bench can make him play harder. On top of that, he is in a contract year so he?ll play all the more hard.

    6) Assuming the roster is as it is now, what will the starting lineup look like?
    PG: Stephon Marbury
    SG: Jamal Crawford
    SF: Quentin Richardson
    PF: Michael Sweetney
    C: Channing Frye

    7) Who will be our MVP this season?
Umm?.Marbury. No one else has as much talent.

    8) Who will be our Rookie of the Year?
Tough one. I?ll go with Frye since he?ll probably be playing the most minutes.

    9. Who will lead us in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, steals, and blocks?
PPG: Crawford ? because I think Marbury will do more passing
RPG: Lee ? Sweetney?s probably gone soon so I?ll choose Lee. If Sweetney stays, I?ll choose him.
APG: Marbury - He?s always been an assist leader on every team he?s been on. Nothing will change
FG%: Channing Frye ? He?ll get high percentage shots, but if Sweetney is around, I?ll choose him.
3P%: Q ? a good 3-point shooter and now that he has higher percentage shots, I see him leading us.
Steals: Marbury ? as sad as that is.
Blocks: Frye ? who else can do it?

    10. Will we make the playoffs?
I think so. We?re much improved from last season and now that we?ll probably be healthier, I think it should be much better. That and I can?t see last season repeating itself.

    11. Who do you think will be most improved from last season?
Call me crazy, but I?ll go with TT. He?ll have to fight for a starting spot and on top of that, he has to look for a sucker to overpay him in the offseason because this is his contract year.

    12. Will we have an all-star next season?
I think the Knicks will do well next season so I?m picking Marbury to make the squad next year.

BONUS QUESTION: Dunk Contest: Nate Robinson, David Lee or Trevor Ariza?
David Lee. He won the Mickey D?s dunk contest so I?ll choose him again, although Ariza and Robinson definitely aren?t slouches.

I'm bored, so I'll do these questions.

    1) Will Frye prove he was worth an 8th pick overall in the draft?

I don't thinks so. I think he might be a good scorer, maybe 10-15 PPG in the future, but he's just not that good of a rebounder. Has a chance to be one of the better shotblockers in the league. I think they should've gone with BAP, and Frye wasn't that player IMO.

2)Out of all the rookies in the draft, who do you think will have the best career?

I'd have to go with David Lee. He's athetic, he can score, rebound, defend (blocks, steals etc.). I could see him averaging a double double in the future if Sweetney get's traded and he's inserted into the starting lineup.

    3) Which rookie will log the most minutes.

Probably Channing Frye. He's the only Center.

    4) Who will the first all-star be on the team ? Ariza, Lee, Robinson, Frye, or Sweetney? (if he?s still around)

Tossup between Frye, Lee, and Sweetney. I don't think Sweetney will be around long enough to have the chance, and I don't think Frye will be good enough to beat out the Bosh's, Howards, Okafors, etc. I'll say Lee just because he has the potentiol to put up a double double.

    5) You haveQ, TT, and JC. Who do you put on the bench to play a 6th man role?

Easily Tim Thomas. Don't even have to explain this one.

    6) Assuming the roster is as it is now, what will the starting lineup look like?

    PG: Stephon Marbury
    SG: Jamal Crawford
    SF: QRich
    PF: Mike Sweetney
    C: Channing Frye

    7) Who will be our MVP this season?

I guess Marbury. Nobody on the team is more talented than him.

    8) Who will be our Rookie of the Year?

David Lee or Nate Robinson. I think everyone is just going to love these guys, because they play there hearts out and hustle every night.

    9. Who will lead us in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, steals, and blocks?

    PPG: Stephon Marbury
    RPG: David Lee
    APG: Stephon Marbury
FG%: Sweetney if he stays around, Frye if he doesn't
    3PT%: Q-Rich
SPG: Nate Robinson (lightning quick, can't wait to see some breakway dunks)
BPG: David Lee or Channing Frye

    10. Will we make the playoffs?

Simply put, no. They will improve from last year, but I don't think they will be able to sneak in. Miami, Detroit, and Indiana will be a lock. Then you have the atlantic winner which will be a 3 way race between Boston, Philly and NJ. Then you have Cleveland and Milwaukee improving. Chicago will make it also if they sign all of there free agents. I mean all 5 teams from the Central could make the playoffs, then you of course have Miami, Detroit, and Indiana. Too many better teams IMO.

    11. Who do you think will be most improved from last season?

I think Michael Sweetney, if he stays and starts. I could see averaging 11/8.

    12. Will we have an all-star next season?

If the Knicks are in the playoff race, I'll pick Marbury.

    13. BONUS QUESTION: Dunk Contest: Nate Robinson, David Lee or Trevor Ariza?

David Lee. I watched his Mickey D's dunk contest, and he was sick. Josh McRoberts even did one of his dunks.

    1) Will Frye prove he was worth an 8th pick overall in the draft?

Not in his first year, he will take some time for prove that he was worth the 8th pick in the draft. Plus he will have to split some time with the center that the Knicks sign this year (Stromile, Hunter, James, or Kwame)

2)Out of all the rookies in the draft, who do you think will have the best career?

David Lee. He is a solid player that for years in the league will make a team not worry about the power forward spot.

    3) Which rookie will log the most minutes.

Fyre. Although like I said he is going to have to split time with whatever center the Knicks bring in, he will still be the starting center. He was the 8th pick in the draft and I am sure the Knicks want to see what he can do by giving him some P.T.

    4) Who will the first all-star be on the team ? Ariza, Lee, Robinson, Frye, or Sweetney? (if he?s still around)

Sweetney. I watched this kid when he played college ball and I am just waiting for him to break out and become a good pro player. I don't see any of these players becoming an all-star this year but I would say Sweetney has a shot in 2-3 years.

    5) You have Q, TT, and JC. Who do you put on the bench to play a 6th man role?

Easy question here, definitely Tim Thomas. Do I have to explain?

    6) Assuming the roster is as it is now, what will the starting lineup look like?

    PG - Stephon Marbury
    SG - Jamal Crawford
    SF - Quentin Richardson
    PF - Mike Sweetney
    C - Channing Frye

    7) Who will be our MVP this season?

Marbury. I don't see anybody else who has a chance, with Marbury on the team, he will be taking most of the shots. Quentin would be a very close second if he developes his low-post game more as a small forward. In LA Richardson showed flashes that he can be a good, physical, low-post guard/forward but then the next year in Phoenix he goes and leads the league in three pointers. Go figure...

    8) Who will be our Rookie of the Year?

Frye. Again I can't stress how important getting playing time is to winning the rookie of the year for the league even for your team. Frye looks like he is going to get some playing time this year.

    9. Who will lead us in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, steals, and blocks?

    PPG - Marbury
    RPG - Sweetney
    APG - Marbury
    FG% - Sweetney
    3pt% - Richardson
SPG - Richardson, he wasn't that bad on the defensive end for the Suns, plus I don't see how else can lead this team in steals...
    BPG - Frye

    10. Will we make the playoffs?

Yes. The Knicks have improved and with one more move can make themselves contenders in the Atlantic. Right now I would say they are the 6th or 7th seed but with one more trade or free agent they can be 4th and maybe win the Atlantic.

    11. Who do you think will be most improved from last season?

Michael Sweetney. If he can get his playing time I can see possibly 12 a game from this kid and around 7 boards.

    12. Will we have an all-star next season?

Nope. Marbury is the only contender to be an all-star but there's too many good point guards in the east for Marbury to go (Iverson, Arenas, Francis, Kidd, Billups, Hinrich, Gordon, and Wade)

    13. BONUS QUESTION: Dunk Contest: Nate Robinson, David Lee or Trevor Ariza?

Robinson. He would get bonus points because of his height which would led him to winning the contest...

    1) Will Frye prove he was worth an 8th pick overall in the draft?

I don't believe so, Fyre isn't physical, his potential is limited to being a servicable role player, has a high basketball IQ, but doesnt have the stregnth to play center, nor the defensive presence. Fyre will be solid, but he wasn't worth the number 8 pick, especially with 5 star talents like Green and Bynum on the board. I don't think Fyre will be terrible, but I don't see how he'll ever live up to the expectations of an 8th overall pick.

2)Out of all the rookies in the draft, who do you think will have the best career?

Nate Robinson, we drafted bench/reserve players, Nate Robinson will never start in the NBA, but he'll be one of the most explosive players off the bench, like Ben Gordon like at full potential.

    3) Which rookie will log the most minutes.

Fyre, even though he's a poward foward. Marbury/Crawford are going to play alot of PG, don't see how its possible for Nate to get over 10 mins a game. We have 7 fowards, don't see Lee getting alot of minutes also

    4) Who will the first all-star be on the team ? Ariza, Lee, Robinson, Frye, or Sweetney? (if he?s still around)

    None

    5) You haveQ, TT, and JC. Who do you put on the bench to play a 6th man role?

Tim Thomas, he's one of the most inconsitant starters in the NBA, his defense and rebounding is god awful for a man with his talents.

    6) Assuming the roster is as it is now, what will the starting lineup look like?

    Marbury/Nate Robinson
    Crawford/Richardson
    Richardson/Ariza/Tim Thomas
    Sweetney/Jerome Williams/Rose/Lee
    Fyre/Taylor

    7) Who will be our MVP this season?

    Marbury

    8) Who will be our Rookie of the Year?

lol, i guess Fyre, he'll have the best stats, impact wise, it'll be Nate Robinson, he'll be our most explosive guard off the bench.

    9. Who will lead us in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, steals, and blocks?

    Points - Marbury 21 ppg
    Rebounds - Sweetney 8 rebs
    assist - Marbury 8.5
    FG % - Sweetney 52% FG
    3pt FG% - Richardson 37% 3pt
    Steals - Marbury 1.5 stls
block shots - Fyre .8 blks

    10. Will we make the playoffs?

No, our front court is very soft, and not physical enough to bang and get dirty with the elite front courts in the east. We probably have the deepest set of guards in the East, but we lack defense and rebounding, especially shot blocking.

    11. Who do you think will be most improved from last season?

Sweetney, Kurt Thomas holded down his position for 2 good years, Sweetney will, and better show why he drafted 9th overall.

    12. Will we have an all-star next season?
Maybe, Marbury, depending on what trades happends.

    13. BONUS QUESTION: Dunk Contest: Nate Robinson, David Lee or Trevor Ariza?[/QUOTE]

Nate, shorter guys get the most attention.

NRob is a sick dunker, but Lee is good too. Also, it's a bit of bias, since Lee was one of my favourite college players. [IMG]

    1) Will Frye prove he was worth an 8th pick overall in the draft?

Yea, he knows people callin em soft and im sure hes motivated to showing New York what hes really made of.

2)Out of all the rookies in the draft, who do you think will have the best career?

I think Martell Webster will have the greatest career, he may have come out of high school but hes got all the ingredients to be a great SG.

    3) Which rookie will log the most minutes.

Id say Chris Paul since he was the 4th overall pick. Hes gonna be something special.

    4) Who will the first all-star be on the team ? Ariza, Lee, Robinson, Frye, or Sweetney? (if he?s still around)

How about none of those guys ever become all-stars. If, id have to say Trevor Ariza.

    5) You haveQ, TT, and JC. Who do you put on the bench to play a 6th man role?

Definitely Tim Thomas, he wont argue or be against playing off the bench cause he excelled playing off the bench for the Milwaukee Bucks.

    6) Assuming the roster is as it is now, what will the starting lineup look like?

    C- Hunter
    PF- Sweetney
    SF- Richardson
    SG- Crawford
    PG- Marbury

    7) Who will be our MVP this season?

Marbury, i think the Knicks gonna surprise people next season and Marbury will have something to do with it.

    8) Who will be our Rookie of the Year?

David Lee, looks like he can be the next Mark Madsen, very energetic and ready to play and thats exactle wat the Knicks can use.

    9. Who will lead us in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, steals, and blocks?

    Scoring- Crawford
    Rebounding- Frye(hate to admit it)
    Assists- Marbury
    Field Goal Percentage- Frye
    Steals- Robinson
    Blocks- Frye

    10. Will we make the playoffs?

Of course, the Knicks have a very talented team and i think are being overlooked by people who talk negative about them.

    11. Who do you think will be most improved from last season?

Jamal Crawford, hes still learning how to keep his game under control, hes been doing it for the past 3 years, with him passing the ball the Knicks are gonna be fun to watch.

    12. Will we have an all-star next season?

No, i just think their are way too much players better than Marbury and Crawford.
