From RealGM:

QUOTE

Allan Houston is leaning toward rejoining the Knicks but likely will wait until tomorrow before making a final decision, according to a person close to the veteran shooting guard.

Should Houston choose the Knicks over the Nets, there is no guarantee that he will make the 15-man roster. Isiah Thomas currently has 15 players with guaranteed contracts and would have to make one roster move in order to keep second-round pick Demetris Nichols. If the Knicks elect to keep both Nichols and Houston, the club would have to eat two contracts, which wouldn't make fiscal sense.

When asked why he would go to such great lengths to bring in Houston at the expense of possibly releasing a younger player, Thomas said: "It's out of respect. He's a great Knick. He wants to come back and give it a shot."

Good. I didn't want him here anyways.
I feel much better with Darrell on the team.

anyone else wondering what that one roster move is? Jerome James cut is a possibility, the article says. I wish Demetris got traded to a better team, tho.

If he doesn't come here, I can't say I'd be all that disappointed. I would have loved his shooting though.

I would find it disappointing if they don't get Houston. Still not sure if Wright is going to be that other reliable shooter off the bench with Nachbar. When the Nets go into offense droughts like they did last season especially in the playoffs, having a guy like Houston who can hit open shots can come in pretty handy trying to minimize or breakout of those droughts.

i dont care about houstonanymore, im tired of his BS. It's not that hard to make this decision and he's acting like a bitch. I hope he ends up going to knick training camp so then he could feel stupid when he doesnt make the final roster. By that time the nets roster will be set and then he won't even play this season. If he chooses the knicks he's goin to regret it and honestly he's not goin to make the difference on our team of a championship.

Yes on hoopshype it's saying that right now Nichols has a better chance of being cut than Fred Jones. I'd also like to see Nichols make a team. No chance he makes our roster, but I'd rather have him than BRob
