<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Nylex:</div><div class="quote_post">No Sweetney?!</div> Sweetney has to be a man now, and start dominating games, he got drafted when he was a Junior, this is his 3rd NBA year, its time for Sweetney to breakout, if he fails this season, he's a failure.
I wouldnt call them Veterans but Sweetney does have to step his game up. He might start and we need alot of points and rebounds from him. He's replacing a very good PF. Ariza is going 2 shine in those leagues.
Today is our first game and although it's not on TV, tommorow at 4:00 PM on MSG, we have a televised game. Check out Frye, Lee and Nate who have been all doing their thing according to what I've heard.

<u>Leading Scorers</u> Nate Robinson (20) Channing Frye (16) Trevor Ariza (16) David Lee (9) <u>Leading Rebounders</u> Trevor Ariza (8) David Lee (7) Jackie Butler (5) Nate Robinson (5) Channing Frye only had 3 rebounds in 29 Mins ... ouch! <u>Leading Assists</u> Trevor Ariza (6) Aaron Miles (4) Nate Robinson (4) Full Boxscore
Hopefully Lee being such the monster that he is on the boards, stole some of Frye's rebounds. This definitely isn't a good sign so far and there were already murmurs about his rebounding when he was in Arizona. Hopefully he bounces back tommorow against Orlando. Nevertheless, here's the recap: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Travis Outlaw ended the 2004-05 season with the Portland Trail Blazers on a tear. In the final 15 games of the season, Outlaw averaged 10.6 points on 53% shooting and grabbed 3.2 rebounds per contest. In the final two months of the season, Outlaw logged more than 20 minutes 17 times and scored in double-figures in 11 of those 17 contests. He picked up where he left off on Wednesday evening as he scored 34 points (12-17 FG) and grabbed five rebounds, leading the Blazers past the New York Knicks, 93-89. The Knicks climbed within three at 86-89 on a Otis George dunk with 39 seconds remaining. However, two free throws by Kris Lang and a dunk by Outlaw sealed the win for the Blazers. Martell Webster, the fifth overall selection in the 2005 NBA Draft, collected 21 points (9-15 FG) and five rebounds in 27 minutes for the Blazers. Sebastian Telfair electrified the crowd with his all-around game and spectacular finishes. Telfair nearly missed a triple-double finishing with 18 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in 35 minutes. First-round pick Nate Robinson showed worthy of the selection as he had 20 points (7-17 FG), five rebounds and four assists. Fellow rookie Channing Frye finished with 16 points (5-15 FG) and three rebounds for the Knicks. The Blazers shot 55 percent (36-65 FG) for the game, while the Knicks shot 44 percent (33-75 FG). The game was tied at the half, 49-49. Portland will take on the Golden State Warriors at noon on Friday, while New York will battle the Orlando Magic tomorrow at 1 p.m.</div> Recap
It's way too early for me to start calling Frye a bust, but it's eally not a good sign when your #8 pick is held to three rebounds by Ha Seung Jin. Just imagine how he'll do against Shaq, Ben Wallace, Brad Miller, etc. I also want to see how Nate Robinson will do against someone who's not a borderline 6-0. I still don't think he'll be productive against Point Guards like Jason Kidd and Marco Jaric who have close to a foot on him.
Tommorow will be the true test when Frye and Robinson match up against Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson.
Im dissapointed looking at those stats. I'm proud of Telfair though but the knicks... I dont know whats wrong with those Knickers.
If Channing Frye put's up those kinds of stats in the regular season, the New York media is going to eat him and Isiah alive.
