<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Marc Berman of the New York Post writes that the Knicks might have interest in Vince Carter should he opt out of his contract at the end of next month. But the Knicks, like any other team, would have to agree to Carter's request for a $60 million contract over three years and make a deal with the Nets. The Knicks had offered Channing Frye, Malik Rose and Jerome James for Carter at the trade deadline. It's not likely that would get the deal done now either.</div> Source
Why is it that the Knicks are always in trade talks? I could see Vince going there, plus we get Channing Frye, who has potential to be one hell of a player in the future. But then again, this most likely will mean Kidd will be gone too, if Vince is traded or signs with the Knicks.

This makes for a ton of speculation and "rumors" that surface from various sources (which are unreliable most of the time). Take Jermaine O'Neal for example. A rumor surfaced that he asked to be traded to New York. The next day, he denied it and the rumor was dead. Tons of people are making a living off of covering the Knicks so that's a lot of speculation and fake rumors being created.
i hope he does go to the Knicks, so Kidd will leave, and the Nets have to rebuild, which means they'll be better in the future.
