Man, today is one of those surreal days for me and my family. When you love something as much as I love the Lakers its hard to even imagine thinking about being elsewhere. But, the ONE THING I will never sacrifice when it comes to basketball is WINNING. That is plain and simply what it's all about. It's in my DNA. It's what pushes me to work as hard as I do. It's my daily passion and pursuit.

The more I thought about the future, the more I became convinced that the Lakers and me just have two different visions for the future. The Lakers are pursuing a longer-term plan that is different from what Dr. Buss shared with me at the time I re-signed as a free agent. I have seen that plan unfold for the last three years and watched great trade opportunities come and go, and have seen free agents passed on. That has led to the Lakers not winning a playoff series. All of that was frustrating in itself, but then, this week to have someone "inside" the Laker organization try to blame me in the media for us not being a contender right now -- that is what brought me to my current position today.

I want it to be clear that I still love, with all my heart, the Laker Legacy. From Mikan to West to Goodrich to Wilt to Kareem to Magic. That will never change. And the support my family and I have gotten from Lakers fans is undeniably the best. I will also always believe that.

But, now there is a new road ahead. I am gonna keep grindin and keep workin to get back to competing for Championships. Sometimes the trek up the mountain is tough. But, I know we'll get there.

    Strength and Honor,
    Kobe</div>

Yeah, the blog is pretty straight forward, but what about his comments on the Dan Patrick show? Was the blog written before he spoke to Phil?

^^^not everyone can be tupac.....but I'm guessing he'll be back, because who do you trade for argubably the leagues best player???...I mean Chicago...yeah that works good for the Bulls, but not that great for the lakers....the same goes with the Nets...or any team for that matter (unless it's wade or bron, and that isn't happening)

How doesn't it work good for the Lakers? If they're building for the future around Bynum and company, players like Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni, Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas are all valuable assets. Would they get all those players? No. The only untouchable is probably Luol Deng. I think a trade with the Lakers would benefit both sides tremendously. The Bulls need that go to guy, that superstar they've missed since the MJ days and the Lakers would love the young talent.

I would like to see Kobe traded because it's obvious as all hell that the organization is on a different plan than what Kobe wants. All of the opportunities passed up prove it. I think the fans here in L.A. would still love him because of how he has carried himself with respect, dignity, and honor through this past weekend. He hasn't bad mouthed his teammates, he hasn't called out Mitch personally. He's stated in a respectful manner that things need to change. He was promised something that the organization never had visions of doing just so he could produce $$$ for them.

Honesetly I don't think Kobe cares whether he stays or goes. All he wants to do is win. If they can get him players so he'll win as a Laker he's cool with it. If not, he wants to go. It's really pretty simple. It doesn't matter to Kobe who he plays for, as long as he's winning. Trade him to Dallas, Pheonix or San Antonio.
