He has no lift because of his ankle/knee injury. He can't get up on his tippy toes. I'm sure you've heard Stu say it about 1,000 times. Take some fucking time off, Kobe.
I'm worried that Kobe might play worse if he continues to aggravate that injury. I think Pau, Bynum and the rest of the team can carry the team in his absence.
I'm more concerned with how the backup guards played last night. Farmar & Shannon combined 6/20 from the field. What are they doing jacking up that many shots?
I'm hoping that Kobe doesn't play more then a few minutes for the ASG next weekend, that way he can get some much needed rest if he doesn't take the time off between now and then.
You know damn well this won't happen. Hopefully PJax can use his power as coach of the team to limit Kobe & Gasol playing time in this meaningless game.
I thought George Karl was the coach of the team? If I'm correct, I didn't think you could coach the AS team in consecutive years?
Is he? I thought it was the coach with the best record, but you could be right. In that case Karl might have our guys out there longer than we'd like.
Well damn, hopefully PJax can get some influence on Karl and make sure Kobe doesn't play too much. The man needs some rest to heal those injuries.
The five points were the fewest Kobe has ever scored in a game in which he played at least 30 minutes. His sore foot was clearly robbing him of some of his speed and mobility, as he failed to score in the fourth quarter. "It was just stiff -- stiff and tight," he said. Bryant is dealing with numerous bumps and bruises - including a broken finger - but continues to play through the various maladies. Eventually he may need a rest, but Bryant's warrior mentality won't make it easy for coach Phil Jackson to convince him to take a night off.
Phil said they might sit Kobe out against Denver. Kobe has a sprained ankle. Lamar Odom: "He's hard to replace" Really Lamar!?
