When its all said an done with Kobe Bryants career, will be be arguably the best player to ever play the game? I hate Kobe, hes a rapist. But he seriously has some game. Hes won a few championships, hes dominated the league for a while, hes now looking like hes in his prime. 36 ppg? thats pretty damn good...Im not saying he will be the best, MJ is insane..but hes gotta have a high ranking.Where will he stand as a legend..
There's no way he'll be the best ever, but maybe a top 10 all-time player. He will never pass MJ though.
Can this thread be deleted or something? Seems like another kid never saw Jordan play or has not realized Kobe's team is not even the best team in L.A.
I think he could be top 30. But this is useless to say the least that Kobe will be top 5 or the greatest. Only kids who have never seen the alltime greats think that Kobe is amung them, which he is not.
Kobe is a great player, and is definately going to end up as one of the best players to ever to play the game. Will he the best player to ever play the game? No, well at least at this point he wont but he still has a lot of years to play. You never know what he might do in the upcoming years.
^^^oh come on, man. Will he ever lead his team to 6 championships? Will he ever even take the Lakers back to the FInals again? I doubt it, he is the kind of guy that can score and his game is pretty but when it comes down to it, he is not the guy you want carrying your team.

Kobe will be top 20 all time when its all said and done, but if he can get his team deep into playoffs, a team similar to the one they have now, I will say he could be a top 15 player.

he will never come close to being the greatest ever. he will be a top 10 tho but he is no where near mj.

Saying it should not be discussed because it happened off court is ridiculous. It became a huge distraction for the Lakers. Just because Kobe's stupid wife forgave him doesn't mean we all have to.
no. He's not even at a much higher level than the other swingmen in the game right now (T-Mac, Dwyane, LeBron), and no way he passes up MJ. He has a shot (although i wouldn't agree) at being considered the best Laker of all time. It would be tough to pass up Magic, or even Shaq, but there is a possibility. But i think bc Shaq left the lakers, they won't think as highly of him.
I think Kobe could be a top ten player by the time he retires. If everything goes as I think it will, he will retire with a pretty nice resume. Three rings, an MVP award, a few scoring titles, numerous All NBA and All Defensive first teams, double digit All Star appearences, and slam dunk champion.
