Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant (foot) did not travel with the team for its final exhibition game in San Diego on Thursday night, and his status for the team's season opener next Tuesday remains in question. "Oh, he's hurt," coach Mike Brown said of Bryant. "I don't know what that means, but he is hurt. He's a tough guy. He's one of the toughest guys I've ever been around." Brown said the Lakers decided it would be best for Bryant to stay in Los Angeles, rather than make the two-hour bus ride to San Diego because he needs to keep his foot elevated.
