<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Who could forget the last time the Lakers played Toronto? Kobe Bryant was practically infallible that night, scoring 81 points on 28-for-46 shooting in the Lakers' 122-104 victory Jan. 22 at Staples Center. It was the second-most points ever scored by a player in an NBA game. The Lakers don't play Toronto until Friday and have three days of practice ahead of them ? but Bryant was noncommittal when asked whether he had any lingering memories of their last meeting. "Nah, I don't think so," he said. "They're a completely different team anyway. I'll just take a win." Bryant has been slowly coming back from off-season knee surgery, having nights to remember and some to forget. Bryant recently said his surgically repaired right knee was only about 70% sound, but he guessed it would be 95% by Friday. Having wedged a league-high eight games into their schedule by Sunday, the Lakers now get a bit of a break, during which time Bryant hoped to further strengthen his leg. "It'll be good for me to kind of rest a little bit, work on my conditioning during this time, get my legs back," he said. "Get my rhythm down, get my leg stronger."</div> Source
It's no wonder the league gave the Lakers 4 day rest, so Kobe could get back to 100% and drop 82 on Raptors. We know your tricks STern!

Kobe should be able to drop AT LEAST 100 against this team. They don't have Mike James anymore, who's going to stop Kobe?

Lol I don't know guys...I heard Sam Mitchell has been improving Toronto's "Defence" and might even call a double team on Kobe.

I think Sam Mitchell - since our club is so defensive minded and all - might actually double Kobe this time around...BEFORE he reaches atleast 75 and for more than 3 posessions the entire game. If we do that sucessfully, I guarantee he won't be able to score more than 86 this time around. So sorry Laker fans, no 100 points this time.
Unfortunately I believe Kobe will get only 20-29 points against the Raptors. He's doesn't appear to be healthy enough yet.

Well last year we barely double teamed Kobe. Mo Pete got into foul trouble (Kobe did a good job of doing that) Calderon, Mike James, and Bonner covered him. This year: -Kobe might not be completely healthy yet. -We have Fred Jones, Anthony Parker, PJ Tucker who are quicker than Bonner, and more natural SGs than Calderon. - and Mo Pete too Great performance from Kobe though, he totally took advantage and was shooting well. I think the Raptors might focus too much on Kobe, and the Laker teammates get easy looks.
