The Kobe 50 point streak was great and amazing. And for the first three games it was within the concept of the game. But on Friday and tonight he was jacking up a lot of shots. He was making them friday night so people didn't pay it much notice but tonight they weren't falling for him. I'm glad the streak is over, because it was becoming a distraction for him and the team. He was definitely going for it to some extent and not playing team basketball for stretches.
He was Kobe Arenas tonight, to many shots that just didn't fall and he could of avoided that if his shot selection was a bit better and aswell as driving to the basket more often, still the lakers won and the whole team played decently well and hopefully this ended streak of 50 point games doesent turn into a distraction and in future times.
I checked ESPN's ESPNews and they had game results at the bottom. Usually, ESPN doesn't point out when a player doesn't get rebounds, steals, blocks, etc., but for some reason, they pointed out:Kobe Bryant:43 PTS, 9 RBDS, 0 ASTSNo team play, whatsoever.
He had a great run, but you're right about the no team ball thing. All those assists pointed out were guys passing to Kobe. He was still pretty good tonight though. Odom was amazing...they needed that out of him to win. 19 rebounds. Over 20 points and some assists and 4 steals too. Great overall game.

I actually WATCHED the game, and there were 5-6 situations were Kobe should of been credited with an assist but wasn't as the guy was fouled before an easy 2 point shot

I was SHOCKED that kobe got zero assists. I thought he had 7 or 8.

Kobe had "only" had 43... played great but was being pressured more than usual by the Warriors tonight. After the first quarter they were not letting Kobe touch the ball and when he did they swarmed him like crazy. Credit Don Nelson for this...it worked. BTW Ronny was huge tonight. He crashed the boards and made some clutch baskets down the stretch.and Smush is a turnover machine! 13 points is nice but I don't know how many TOs he had but I was disappointed.

Anyways, I got access to the game at a very slow rate on "TVU Player" and it was clear that Kobe had his streak still going in the first then he stopped shooting so much in the second, sat for a bit, then couldn't get back into a "kobe" rythem. However kobe with no rythem is like a normal rythem for any other player. All in all it doesn't matter how many 50 pt games kobe scores it's that LA won this game.
