Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston
QUOTE

Boston fans finally had reason to cheer again. Too bad it had nothing to do with the Celtics. Instead, it was Kobe Bryant of the hated Lakers who heard "MVP!" chants while scoring 43 points in his return from a suspension, leading Los Angeles to a 111-98 victory Wednesday night that extended Boston's losing streak to 13 games.
Great to see him getting some support around the league, I really hope he finally gets his MVP this season.
Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston There were actually a LOT of Laker fans at the game last night. We had about 5 guys with Kobe jerseys around where I was sitting. Most of those chants came from Laker fans (or Kobe fans) in the arena, the average Celtic fan knows not to chant for a Laker.
Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston If you're from Boston, chanting for the Lakers is essentially similar to chanting for the Yankees - you don't do it. HUGE sin if you're from Boston and cheer for the Lakers.
Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston many Lakers fans come up here to watch the games as Celtics fans go down to LA to watch the gamesits a classic rivalryplus the Celtics fans had nothing to cheer about really so you could hear the Lakers fans that were there over the silent Celtics fans that were there pouting

Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston Can't wait for tomorrow... Lakers come to Indy... and I have suite tickets.

When you went to the Garden to see the Lakers and Celt's, you kept your mouth shut unless you were cheering for their f*cking beloved Larry Bird...Pffft, douchebags.

Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston Entertaining game by the way. Kobe caught fire neither the end of the 4th quarter. I was surprised to hear the fans chant "MVP!" I guess the Celtics-Lakers rivalry doesn't matter much anymore.
Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston Well duh because it's not a rivalry. The Celtics seriously f*cking blow. I think I could beat half the players if I jumped on an NBA team. No team in the NBA is rivals with the Celtics because to be rivals there has to be at least a somewhat even match and the teams have to have good games with lots of heated tension. With the Celtics, the other teams walk in the stadium knowing they're leaving with another W in the column, so there's no point in calling anything a rivalry with the C's.
Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston Well the Celtics fans have nothing else to cheer for so might as well cheer for an opposing player who is lighting your team up ha.
Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston Same thing happened today in the Atlanta game, they were chanting MVP again for Kobe.
Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston I guess everyone is now realizing that Kobe Bryant = Greatest Player of this Era.

Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston Kobe is amazing and everyone knew he deserved it last year. But then I guess now fans really see that he does deserve it. But hope it doesn't happen here in Toronto on Friday. Cause now fans are cheering MVP to Bosh a well.
Re: Kobe Hears "MVP!" Chants In Boston I don't know if he deserved it last year but the Atlanta game was soldout. All came to see Kobe.
