Kobe is a class act, sitting out All Star game

He wants someone who deserves it to play. Who has every done this? McGrady and Iverson didn't. I give Kobe props for this. This opens the door for Lillard.

Kobe and classy? Was that after he committed adultery and was accused of rape before paying hush money, or after he was forced to apologize for having yelled something extremely distasteful to an official from the bench:

I don't know if this is really unfortunate, or really ironic that KingSpeed of all people would call Kobe classy. smh

Comparing Kobe to Hitler is ridiculous and you know it, Kobe may have done some bad things like beat us time and time again in the playoffs and cheat on his wife but he is certainly not now or has he ever been worthy of a comparison to Hitler even as a joke.

 

Yeah, you're probably right. That was hyperbolic even for hyperbole.

 

I don't know if I'd call it 'classy' but it is the smart thing to do. He has to know how much shit he'd be tarnished with if he insisted on taking a more deserving players spot under the circumstances. That's all anyone would talk about. This way, he polishes his image much more than participating in yet another A.S. game would. And his image/legacy has to be the most important thing to him. And he's still an all star, as voted by the voting public.

 

Personally, I think it has more to do with taking time off to recover from his injury than it does anything else.

 

Sure, go with the obvious answer.

I think we can agree it has nothing to do with being noble.
