i wonder how he will perform at the end of those 3 years. i think thats the remarkable part of jordan's legacy- he maintained his level of excellence even as a 36 year old when he won his last championship and subsequently retired for the second time. clearly, kobe is cognizant of father time and taken his game closer to the basket.

You should be more disturbed by Buss willing to pay someone 30 million per year, rather than Kobe agreeing to the contract.

In the end, it's not my money, so who cares. Buss has shown that he's willing to spend to put a winning product on the floor, otherwise Lamar would be in Miami right now. I'm not worried at all, it's only 3 years, so it's perfect length.
