This is a pipe dream for Knick fans. I doubt Kobe's value has dipped that far. Marbury has never had post-season success, and he would not fit the Triangle Offense, assuming the Lakers still run it. Marbury is a great player, but he's no where near Kobe's value, and the Knicks don't have much else to trade besides him. I don't see how the trade works economically either. The Knicks have the highest payroll in the league and it's going to be even higher with the upcoming season, and the Lakers are also close to the cap limit. A lot of Kobe to the Knicks rumors have popped up, because Kobe listed them as a team he'd like to play for. However, I don't see the Lakers letting him go. If they decide to rebuild, what better player to build around, who's available than Kobe? If they decide to make another run at the title, why let a key player leave?

All those Kobe rumors I dont believe. Come one people the Knicks?? NO way that he is going there, they cant afford a player like him. Kobe is staying in LA and still will play for the Lakers for years to come
It was more interesting reading the disruption with Starbury/Kurt and Shandon then this trade that isn't gonna happen story. NY probaly hasn't even crossed his mind for a split second.
I doubt that the trade will work, like shapecity said Stephon Marbury is no where near Kobe's value. Unless the deal is a 4-man swing (which by the way, the lakers trade a Derek Fisher) and the knicks involove two key players to the team, the trade will work out. In my opinion, if the trade does happn (which i doubt) the knicks will be a playoff team in the east, especially with players set around kobe (the right ones), but i do not see kobe in a blue and orange jersey in his career.
I really don't think Kobe will go to NY, but than there half of me that says that he will go to a new team, I'm not really sure though...
Not happening. He wont ever be a Knick...it just doesnt fit. I think Kobe will stay in L.A...Wich team that is though, I dont know.
well i hate to see it happening im a huge Laker fan but i predict couple of years later, Shaq, Gary and Malone retires it will be only Kobe left with the has-been team of the Lakers. As you can see right now these 4 are the Lakers. Carrying pretty much all of the Lakers scores.
