    they reported on ESPN tha he would "explore his options"...he said he likes playin wit la, but mite like playtin sumwhere else...do yall think he will leave, and if he does, what about to memphis??? tha would be a good place for him...a team on the rise...wit jason williams and mike miller...tha would be pretty dope, but i want him to come back

    doubt it. his only real reason for "exploring his options" is its smarter financially. i'm gonna bet that he'll be wearing purple and gold for a very long time.

    Kobe wont leave, LA loves him, he has 3 going on for 4 championships, the only reason he would leave if for his own stats. But I would like to see him in Purple and Red...[​IMG]

    u really think KG will be a laker? why is it always them who are able to get the big free agent or trade. I mean, thats the only reason theyve had any of these dynastys isnt it? first they went out and got wilt, then they went out and got kareem, then they went out and got shaq. cant they win a championship just on the strength of their own developed players, i mean thats what youd hope for from a franchise claiming to be the greatest in basketball

    because los angeles is a great city to live in and the opportunity to have a career outside of basketball is better in los angeles. once those players get a glimpse of all the fine ass women in los angeles it's hard to turn down. the weather in better and the nightlife is great. also it doesn't hurt to play for a perinnial contender and the history of the lakers speaks for itself. i don't think any team in the NBA has the patience or the resources to develop a team of young players anymore. the salary cap and the rules for free agency make it difficult to keep a young core together. i think baseball is the only sport left with the possibility of building a championship with young talent because of the minor league system they have in place.

    i doubt he will retire, but he will probably sign a 1 or 2 year contract then retire.

    I wouldn't even doubt that Kobe will retire in a Laker uniform, but it would be cool if he went to another team, just seems weird having Kobe wearing a memphis jersey lol.

    well at least its better with kobe having his own team

    for once u would here "Kobe's Memphis Grizz"
    u never hear "Kobe's LA Lakers"

    thats because it is Shaqs LA Lakers. the reason kobe will leave is becuase he wants a team to be "kobes" team. even if shaq retires the Lakers if they want to win more championships will go buy another dominant big man. thats what theyve always done
