<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LOS ANGELES - The Denver Nuggets will pursue prospective free agent Kobe Bryant after this season, assuming the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is found not guilty in his sexual assault trial, NBA sources confirmed to The Denver Post on Saturday. Although Bryant was booed by fans at the Pepsi Center during a game Jan. 7 and he still faces court proceedings in his sexual assault case in Eagle County, NBA sources say all the drama surrounding Bryant wouldn't keep the Nuggets from pursuing him if he becomes an unrestricted free agent, as expected, this summer.</div> Link
Nah, he won't end up in Denver. Many fans will accept him, but not ALL. It would just be too much trouble for him and his family.
Kobe has absolutely zero incentive whatsoever to go to the Nuggets, he will make more money if he remains with the Lakers and even if he were sacrifice some dollars to go to another team, it would definitely NOT be the Nuggets. Why would he go to a team where everyone hates him and everytime he touches the ball he is booed? How could someone be proud and actually WANT to play for a team in a city where he is hated? He will never go to the Nuggets, period.
Nah...They will try to get him. I mean, even Laker fans learned to love Karl Malone right? It's all about his superstar status. Besides, they said that they will get him IF he's found not guilty. Meaning if he's innocent. Or am I just wishing that they get Kobe so they can leave Kmart alone?
Denver has the cap space for Kobe, therefore they will try and make a run at him. It's very possible for him to leave LA, because he has expressed his interest to shop around the market. But as a Nugget? Not likely. If he was booed once, he'll get booed again. Fans there are very hostile against him, he won't sign with a team that won't accept him, end of story.
I just can't see this happening, Kobe would never be comfortable in Denver. Sure, they have the cash, but so do the Clippers, Suns, Spurs...etc. Denver? not a chance.

Plus like Tony Kornheiser said, why would the Nugs get Kobe when Melo is the same exact player, albeit not quite as good yet? & Icebreaker, I hope you are a woman- cuz those Abercrombie model in your avatar is REALLY starting to creep me out.

That team belongs to Melo, there's no way Kobe is going to come and take over. The chemistry is way too good right now. I don't know IB personally, but I'm pretty sure you have nothing to worry about.
Is Kobe really that stupid of a guy to play for a city where he's going through sexual assault issues? I don't think so. You can pretty much scratch that off the list.

He said Kobe just needs to shut up about everything FA related in general. He'll probably get off, but his future in general is unknown. He should enjoy this season, and hopefully look foward to playing in the league next season. With his trial going on, he needs to at least pretend he cares and talk about the FA stuff at the end of this season.
every team thinking they might land kobe are dreaming. hes simply testing free-agency. he'll resign with the lake show
I think playing for Denver is at the bottom of Kobe's options. That city holds way too much bad memories for him. Plus, I think he wants to be on a team where he's the man. In Denver, they have their big guy, none other than Carmelo Anthony. And I don't think Carmelo would like being overshadowed.

Any team that has a chance at KOBE, wether they already have a superstar, with enough cap room can only DREAM of signing such a player. DREAM...its as if MJ was testing free agency in 93 and was hinting signing to another team, thats why theres so much talk about it. As for carmelo, he will bow down to kobe and accept being second fiddle...plus, denver welcomed KOBE this past game where the lakers dissapointed you denver fans. He was getting cheered plenty. Kobe FILLS SEATS, he doesnt decline sales. NEVER HAS, NEVER WILL!
