its hard for me to imagine with all the talk that kobe not coming back to the lakers next year, that philly, his home town will not make a huge run for him. i see ai out the door in a trade and kobe staring a new era in philly not with the clippers or suns. kobe back home and with the right cast earns 3 more rings with the sixers.

I think this could generate some good discussion. Moved to the Phildelphia forum, however.

will he bring shaq with him in his suitcase?

i absolutely dont see a chance this will happen.
    1. kobe hasn't seen much love from the fans in philly(understatement)
    2. when trading ai u still will have a player(or several) in return, which means u dont have any money left to go after kobe
    3. and most important: i dont want kobe in philly [IMG]

I believe Allen Iverson should stay in Philadelphia and that’s where he belongs. I wouldn’t let him go. But if anything were to happen. I wouldn’t mind Kobe coming to Philadelphia. If he goes to Philadelphia that mean they would trade him for Allen Iverson. And most likely Allen Iverson would go to L.A and he would be teamed up with Shaq. And we know how much Shaq loves Allen Iverson. So I think they would be fine. Also Allen Iverson would be teamed up with a big man, and we've seen what the damage he did with Mutumbo. Just think how good he would do with Shaq.

As for Kobe coming to Philadelphia… Man, all I know, it would definitely be something special. Now everyone would see his true talent, he would no longer be under Shaq’s shadow.

I dont think he would play there, even though it is his hometown. They show no love for him whatsoever, and his wife doesnt want to leave California. I see him in Purple and Gold or in Clipper colors next year.

How many times has AI leaving been discussed? AI will be a Sixer next season. Billy King stated it and Jim O'Brien stated it as one of the main reasons that he is coming here.

Kobe wise, I can't picture him here. I see Kobe staying on the west coast.

Well since everyone seems to forget that AI will play for the Sixers next year Im going to remind you HE WILL PLAY FOR THE SIXERS NEXT YEAR!!!So I dont think a Kobe AI duo would work because Kobe want his own team.

I think it might work, AI is starting to let up sadly, he could be what they need seeing as this team lacks in such a severe amount in all aspects. Any big of offense, defense and his clutch ability would be welcome if you ask me. You and the Celtics, not forgetting the Magic, could all use and need him in different ways. It's just good that he'd be sharing the scoring load with AI.

True. And its most likely he will stay. But even though Billy King said Iverson will be on the team next year. Nothing is guaranteed. You never know what kind of offers other GM’s might lay on the table that could get Billy King interested. ANYTHING can happen.

Kobe to philly wouldn't be so bad, but I just don't picture him in a sixers jersey. If anything though, I would love to see Iverson and Kobe, other than that, no way.

Totally agree. I can't imagine if Kobe play with a Sixers uniform...
And for AI, Philly is the best place to stay.
