Kobe to the Knicks?

I just read on www.hoopshype.com that Kobe could be off to the Knicks. It could happen if they can get rid of Houston to the BOBCATS.

That would be a great trade. The knicks are a huge franchise and need to be in the play-offs.

What does everyone think to that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Firstly, the Knicks made the playoffs this year, and the Bobcats would have much trouble getting Houston in the expansion draft because of his large contract.

 

If anything I can see Kobe going to Memphis to be re-united with Jerry West. These two had a great relationship in LA, and West basically took Kobe under his arm like a son-dad type relationship.

why...why would kobe want to go to the Knicks, is it because the knicks will have problems with their salary cap, or becasue Stephon Marbury is there to be the main man on the knicks team. Or because Kobe needs Shaq to win the championship.

 

^ Kobe would want to go to the Knicks because they will instantly be his team. Most teams in the league would be his, but what better place to play at than the center of the basketball world? Imagine what this would do to his legacy as a player- turning around a Knicks franchise that hasn't won in years, and maybe even winning the title there. New York is the most important place in basketball, and everyone wants the Knicks to win. Bryant, if he made it happen, would cement his status as one of the greatest all-time.

I only picture Kobe Bryant Staying with the lakers. I dont' know why but i cant picture him in any other jersey than the lakers. Also, I will be surprised if he goes to New York Knicks!! (or any other team)

I agree with Kobeonfire, the Knicks are one of the most popular teams in the league. If kobe could carry them back to the promised land then he would be regarded as a national hero!

Remember Jordan was always rumoured of a move to the Knicks, but this would put Kobe one up on him!

It's unlikely they can pull it off but.................

 

Come on guys. The Knicks only have the MLE to offer. You really think Kobe will agree to that? The only realistic thing that can be done by the Knicks is a sign and trade. But then again, that's not too realistic right?

Now this idea I like. However hasn't he stated that he wanted to either become part of the San Antonio Spurs or the Phoenix Suns? However I think the Memphis Grizzlies might just be the ticket, he's unselfish now, tough and has an ego. The toughness could be used well by the young and soft players down with the Memphis Grizzlies. Spurs could work also, they only have TD as a superstar, plus he gets along with them well.

 

if kobe does leave the lakers who are teams willing to give for him

 

i hope he dont stay with the fuckin lakers after the plaoffs is done, hope he goes to another team

 

I hope he goes to Denver so we don't have to hear about how far he traveled to make a game after his rape case.

I dont see him going anywhere but dont rule out the Bulls. To me its Knicks or Bulls if anything.
