I don't see Kobe being thrilled with Washington if they move Arenas and filler like Thomas and Nick Young.

A lineup of Daniels, Bryant, Butler, Jamison and Haywood is decent but not at the top of the East. BUT I think an Eastern team will wind up with Kobe, like one did with Shaq.

Im not sure the fans would really like it either. I think Arenas is going to be in Washington for a while.

Give them another legit big man and I bet you that team is a title contender............Butler and Kobe = excellent defenders....Jamison is an allstar caliber player also...........Caron is better now than when he was in L.A. and Jamison unlike Odom is consistent............

I wouldn't do this trade. We would be in the same postition except maybe even worse. I'd rather get a bunch of young guys coming in, and hope that Gil opts out and signs with us mext summer.

I know this might make me un-popular with some Wizards fans (The very few on this board) but I would trade Gilbert for Kobe in a heart beat. Kobe is the best player in the NBA, there would be absolutely nothing stopping me from doing this trade.

I would actually do this trade the Wizards will be a contending team if they find another player that might help them, but this trade will leave the Lakers in the same position as they are right know. Getting Arenas though mean were going to have to get an extension because we don’t want to trade for him and then walk out and test the Free agent market. But nevertheless I’ll do this trade in a heartbeat.
