<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jackson felt the need to remind Kobe Bryant of what a good teammate he has been all season, because there was tension between Bryant and his teammates during Friday night's loss.

"I just said, 'Hey, just don't destroy the relationship you've built with the players this year,' " Jackson said. "He said, 'Naw, it's not going to affect us, what we do. I just had to get out and vent what was irritating me.' "

Bryant yelled at Jordan Farmer for not passing to him. He yelled at Luke Walton for not calling a timeout late in the game and instead throwing the ball away.

"He was obviously irritated about the game prior to that," Jackson said.</div>

Farmar needs to know his role. I'm sick of him treating the game as his own And 1 mixtape, shooting with reckless abandon and not looking out for his teammates. Good for Kobe to spell it out. Finally.

Farmar and Walton have been very dissapointing lately. Walton especially, he's been horrible the entire season. Farmar started off very well, but I have no idea what happened. He's getting beat on defense every single play, and he's just out there chucking up 3 point shots. I don't mind Kobe getting into their heads about their play. This isn't a Youth league, this is the NBA. We can't afford those two stinking up every single game, especially Farmar with his recent selfish play.

Btw, it seems like Puke took Kobe's words and used it as motivation last night. He played great. Can't say the same for Farmar

Phil had Farmar on a leash last night, I loved it.

I'm glad Kobe ripped into Farmar. Farmar didn't even look Kobe's direction whenever he had the ball, there were plenty of times where Kobe was pretty damn open, and Farmar just swung it to the other side of the court. Absolutely selfish, childish play by Farmar. Factor in his 3 point chucking and absolute terrible defense, and we've got us a case of Fisher II, only worse. I know the kid is still young, but he needs to realize that he isn't an offensive focal point. Play within the offense, don't try and create the offense.

Luke is just a bonehead when it comes to the final possession of the game. He's squandered numerous opportunities to tie/win, I'm sure Kobe's explosion towards him was just a build up of all the prior occasions.

If any of you had to see Puke on a daily basis like Kobe does, you'd feel for him.

I don't think Kobe should talk shit about anyone on the team. We are going through a slump and have a bunch of key players injured. Lead by example.... we all know what happens when Kobe (my favorite) opens his mouth.

"We" are not all in a slump.

Radman has been nice for us, as has Lamar and a couple of others. Puke and Farmar need to wake up.

We are in a slump; We being Lakers. Losing to Memphis and Charlotte is beyond acceptable this late in the season...

We gotta realize this team is nothing special without Pau and Bynum

Are the Puke references really necessary? This isn't LG and the man has been coming through for us the past few games, especially last game, I can say confidentally we would not have won without Luke. He has been showing up for the past few games now (except for that dumb mistake not taking a timeout the game before but even so, there was 0.9 seconds left, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves on that one, I also blame Phil for that as well), so let's start giving Luke some credit.

Farmar has hit the wall, and hit it hard, I think he bounces back as soon as we become full strength again.

I have no problem with Kobe yelling at Farmer to get him the ball, I just dont understand why he was doing it when Farmer passed to Luke and Luke got the basket and the foul.

Maybe Kobe was more open? or it was for a previous play?

nah, it was that play .. kobe was calling for the ball, and farmer passed to luke and luke scored and got fouled. Then Kobe went up to Farmar and yelled at him. Kobe might have been more open, but he wasn't going to hit a four pointer so i dont know why he got angry given the results.

Cuz Kobe can be a pouting baby sometimes, that's why.. Don't look too far into it, if it looks like a duck....

God forbid Farmar play team ball instead of Kobe ball, I mean sheesh, what an idiot! [IMG]

Listen, Kobe is the type where if he misses a layup and say Lamar Odom scores with a putback, Kobe would be bitching at the ref instead of being happy we made the 2 points. That's just how he is.

I'm not a Kobe hater either, I just don't hug his balls anymore.

And please, if any of you go to Laker games, PLEASE tell those freakin retards to stop with the MVP chants 4 minutes into the game in the 1st quarter, I mean jesus christ, that is so ****ing annoying.....It ruins the whole point of it...it's supposed to be done like latest 3rd quarter and 4th, it's getting so played out now it's ridiculous...when I was doing it two years ago it actually meant something.. Now they do it EVERY, SINGLE time he's at the line, sorry I don't know why it bothers me so much.

And this team is lottery bound if one also subtracts Kobe. Say whatever you want Bryant, I haven't seen anything egregious yet.

You said Luke needs to wake up, and he has, so why not lay off him? These players are not stars, they're role players, so like them, you need to learn your role.

What a hypocrite, get off me. Stop bitching about pouting and then commit the same act.

Luke has not been just an effective role player this year, he's hurt us.

You have to be joking. For him to wake up he has to be consistent, not just play well once in a while.

Yeah, I agree with huevon. Luke has been horrible all season long. I agree he had a great game yesterday, I even mentioned it in the gamethread, but he needs to string together a lot more of those types of games before I really start giving him some credit.

Also, you guys need to chillax. lol

Look, there is absolutely no doubt that Luke has stunk it up this season, that's a fact, all I'm saying is, the past few games he's been coming through for us...we can't except players like Luke to bring it every single night, that just ain't a reality.

He's been making his shots lately and is trying to improve...I'm not saying we should praise him just yet, but maybe ease up on the hating.

    Last 5 games from Luke:

    FG %:

    87%
    40%
    66%
    66%
    72%

    Avg from past 5 games 17/26 fg = 66%

So it hasn't just been 1 game, it's been the past 5 that he's been shooting pretty well and just playing better basketball.

Atleast he's been trying to improve, I'm not saying let's forget how bad he stunk it up all year, but his good play deserves some acknowledgement

Um no, Puke took three shots in two of those games against GSW (not to mention that his PER was pathetic because of the high number of ball possessions) and in another "explosive performance" (72.7%) against SEA, it was in garbage time. He got 17 points in the fourth against their D-League Squad after we benched all of our starters in a blowout.

I'm pretty sure his defense has not been close to spectacular either. He sucked against Memphis too. There goes 4 of those 5. [IMG]
