i found this on espn news http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1947289 what do you guys think?
Yeah he wanted to apologize to Shaq for what he told the police. Apparently he wants a second chance and a clean slate. Can't blame him after what he's been through. But it could also be that he's trying to soften up Shaq for the Christmas day game.
The funny thing is he mentions the Christmas Day and he just seems to "apoligize" one week before the big game. It's obvious Kobe DOES NOT want SHaq playing his heart out in this game, because if Shaq does it is over.

Whatever team wins...it'll be because there were more than just two guys contributing. It'll take more than Kobe/Odom and Shaq/Wade. As far as Kobe apologizing, he doesn't have a choice. His reputation is being burned each day, and he can't stop the media from doing it. If you've ever wondered why Artest is such a bad seed, or why there are anti-Jordan fans...it's because of the media. Shaq spoke about how some people love him and some people hate him. Why do some hate him? It's because of the media. Really...to be honest...I hate Shaq for other reasons, but for one...it's because of the things I hear him say. However, if it wasn't for the crowd of people trying to get paid and make a story out of a comment, we wouldn't hear half of those comments. Same with Kobe.
