Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino says freshman running back Kody Walker has had surgery to repair a stress fracture in his shin.

Petrino didn't indicate Wednesday how many games Walker would miss for the No. 10 Razorbacks (5-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference). He only said it "will take a while for that to heal."

Walker has five touchdowns this season for Arkansas, gaining 68 yards on 20 carries. However, he hasn't had a carry since the Razorbacks' third game against Troy.
