<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">WASHINGTON (AP) -- Former LSU forward Regis Koundjia has been declared eligible to play for No. 13 George Washington starting with the Colonials game at North Carolina State on Dec. 30. The school announced Thursday that Koundjia, who transferred to George Washington last year, had satisfied academic residency requirements and can join the team. A 6-foot-8 junior, Koundjia can play the rest of this season and the 2006-07 season. George Washington is 8-0, its best start since the 1953-54 season. The Colonials' No. 13 ranking is its highest since January 1956. </div> Source
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting J_Ray:</div><div class="quote_post">Is this guy any good? I saw this story earlier but didn't know who this guy was....</div> "Good" is almost an understatement. In my opinion, he could be the best player to ever come out of the Central African Republic, and he's without a doubt the best professional prospect on George Washington. He's a legit 6-8 wing with some of the best athleticism and foot speed in the entire NCAA. He's also one of the best players in the NCAA in transition, although his half court game could use some work. When he transferred from LSU six games into his sophomore season, he was still very raw, yet he had a lot of room to grow. It should be interesting to see how much he's improved in the year he's had away from basketball, but he has the potential to have an All-American type impact on the team.

I don't see anything funny about it though. It's not like your or me could be the best player in any country, especially not one as large as the Central African Republic. The bottom line is that he's a hell of a talent.

From what I heard he isn't that bad, GW does a great job of getting these players from overseas to play for them. Pops Mensah-Bonsu is from England I believe and they also have Alexander Kireev who is from Ukraine. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting J_Ray:</div><div class="quote_post">I could be the best b-ball player in Antartica, those Penguins have no skill whatsoever..... </div> What? Be realistic, being the best player to ever come out of the Central African Republic is no small feat like VC said. I'm not even sure if there is a high school team in Antartica...
