Whoopdee fucking do. That pretty much means nobody offered shit for him. I guess when they let Strome walk, sign Copp, Vatrano and Motte, they will imagine a spot for him that doesn't exist. Not buying it. I think they will trade him. However, I'm not sold that a team isn't going to offer Kakko a huge RFA deal and he will sign it. He'll probably figure they will put old vets on the PP for the next 4 years and he's going to waste his career here. He's probably not wrong. If I was the Yotes with all their picks or the Sabres who both have a shitload of cap room, would I give up 4 first rounders for him? Yeah, probably. He's a high first rounder so in reality, you are giving up 3 first rounders. Maybe even 2 if you figure one of your first round picks won't work out. The Sabres have 2 first rounders this and next season. If I was Kakko, I would sign a RFA deal from another team where I could play on the PP all the time and get first line minutes. Winnipeg pretty much needs a mini-rebuild so i think Schiefele will be moved to help that along. If you gave them Kravtsov, Chytil and a 1st that would probably get you him, maybe with one other pick/prospect thrown in. Despite Kravtsov's issues here he's still a high level prospect at 23 years old next year. He could surely get playing time there. Copp could be the 3C if they re-sign him and maybe Strome is either gone or moved to wing.
I got fooled once with Lias not gonna get foooled again. Once players pull this kind of shit it never works out. Granted Lias got screwed over after preseason by moron Quinn. However, once he asked out it was over for him here.
Right, i was referring to Kravtsov getting ample playing time if he was traded to the Jets. If he stays here it's going to be a challenge to find a spot next year if Copp and Vatrano both come back. Schiefele, Z and Copp would be great down the middle.
Just got a feeling we are going to lose Kakko to an offer sheet. Not a good sign that he hasn’t been extended yet
