Krkic not thinking of Spanish national team

QUOTE

MADRID (AFP) - Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic, who has shined in Spain's Under-21 side, said Wednesday he is not yet thinking of a place in the full national team despite receiving praise from national coach Luis Aragones. "I am still learning with the Under-21 team and I am not thinking of the full team," said the Serbian-born 17-year-old, who broke into the Barcelona first team this season. "I appreciate very much Luis Aragones' words but I have to go step by step. Taking part in the European Championship? I would love it. If they called me, I would not think twice," he added. Earlier this month Aragones said he was watching Krkic's development closely. "He has come through the under-17s, the under-19s and the under-21s and is now one step away from the full team. He could be with us very soon, but he has to play regularly like the others in contention," said Aragones. "He is a boy that is coming along well and we will see, but some players continue to progress and some do not," he added. Spain qualified for the Euro 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland by beating Sweden 3-0 in Madrid Saturday. Krkic, who has a Serb father and Spanish mother, has said he wants to continue to play in Spain where he was born and raised but Serbian officials have expressed hope that he will one day change his mind. Last month he became Barcelona's youngest-ever goalscorer in a league match, contributing one goal in his side's 3-1 loss away to Villarreal.

He really is the next big thing IMO. Imagine that team. Fabregas, Meria, Torres, Villa, Bojan. Them alone would dominate.

They will be the favorites for both World Cups, the 2010 and 2014.
He should have played for Serbia though, and help his home country.
