I didn't interpret Krstic as saying he would rather be a Laker now, but rather that Divac was an idol for him (not surprising at all) and he wanted to follow in his footsteps. Sounds more like he's recounting a childhood dream than making a trade request (Krstic for Bynum! )</p>
Kidd probably wanted to be a Laker when he was growing up too. Don't see why anybody would read into this.</p>
