Whats up with NY?One minute they go after Crawford the next minute Dampier.Adding Kurt Thomas to this deal would make it more likely Dampier become a Knick,so maybe the Knicks will fianlly complete a deal.
Actually, you got it backwards. This make's it more unlikely the Warriors will accept. They have a log jam at PF/C and they don't need 3 more. They already have Biedrins, Murphy, Davis, and Foyle. They need depth at the SF position right now.
I think if they put thomas in the trade for dampier it imo will be a big mistake alothough they are planning on trading thomas any way. This entire season for the knicks kurt thomas was steady as a rock for them averaging a double double and being a agreesive force on the boards for them something they really need. Dampier although imo will be good next year has really only had 1 good year were he has averaged a double double and that was this year a contract year. Kurt Thomas has imo continued to improve for the knicks since he has been a member of the team, but dampier is a star free agent that any team would perssue so I can understand if this trade does go down why it did. Though some dont feel like thomas is that big a part of the knicks I kind of think he is like the x factor that holds things together as a example look at kenny adnerson from that boston team that went to the eastern conference finals. He was the x factor of that team and a very under rated peace when he was traded that summer to the sonics for vin baker the team crumbled and fell back from a eastern conference contender to what we see today. Also I think isiah needs to focus on one free agent before he perssues another its kind of like the saying you have to catch the ball before you start running. He could have possible been close to a break through with paxson and the bulls, but he didnt even wait a day to see what there answer would be before he started perssuing dampier again. Isiah's ambision may eventually be his down fall as he is tring to handle to many free agents at the same time while tring to work out two sign and trades. If he fails to do these trades and the players know they were involved in the trade and would have left the team the players may lose respect for him and not play hard like the players across the hudson river did to byron scott although that was a different situation.
