Arrrggg.... I went to this game, sat in the suite section -- and although it was close, pretty exciting, and again flashes of the future... how can they lose this way? They didn't lose the game on that tip-in, they lost in the first quarter when they pretty much told the Clippers they weren't going to box out. There were WAY too many easy offensive rebounds that lead to easy layups for the Clips. Brand and Wilcox just camped under the basket, grabbed rebounds and dunked them back in, usually followed by a foul Marion wasn't hitting much, but Amare was a monster!! It's funny to watch the game and not have anybody to remind you of the stats or have the internet to stat-watch, I could have swore Brand had 40, Amare had 35 and Marion had less than 15... but Brand only had 30, Amare 29 and Marion with 24. I also though McDyess had more rebounds, he did a good job on the boards, but him and Amare let the Clippers camp down low and grab too many offensive boards (including the last one that cost them the game). It was Fan Appriciation Night, so it was pretty good to be AT the game... I didn't get anything but they gave up a bunch of stuff and had a lot of videos and whatnot to thank the fans. Casey Jacobsen won the Dan Majerle award (even though Jake Voskul was the obvious choice, but it's not like it's NBA MVP or anything, so who cares?). The Suns are tied for the 4th worse record, meaning it's possible they get the 5th pick or better in the draft (the Bobcats get the 4th pick). I've been thinking about IF they got the 1st pick, I wonder what they'd do... I'd HOPE they trade it (I hope they do anyway, and include Eisley so we can get rid of his salary) it's not like they NEED Howard or Okafor, they have Amare and Shawn as the forwards, so unless they plan on trading Marion and playing 2 PFs with no outside game, it makes no sense to draft 1 of those guys. But who knows, so much will change and we'll all be wrong (i.e.>> Nobody saw them trading Marbury, so if you guessed who they would draft pre-Marbury you'd never have guessed a PG, but now you might... so it's all speculation until the expansion draft is over, and the rookie draft is upon us).
Yeah that sucks that we loss the last home game. I am really mad that Jacobson won the hussle award. It should have been Donnell Harvey. Do you know who voted for it.
Yeah 1/3 is the fans, 1/3 is Dan Majerle, and the last 1/3 is I think the Suns organization -- it was something like that, I voted Voskul when it appeared on Suns.com.
