Outside shooting needs adjustments as well. As a team, the Clippers shot 12.5% from the outside and that's not getting the job done. Better rebounding on all categories. If the Clippers are only going to score 88 points last night against Denver, there needs to be a better ratio of rebounding in order to get more opportunities for their offensive system. Lakers FEWER TURNOVERS! Comfortable ball movement. There was a lot of ridiculous turnovers which lead to some terrible passing by the Lakers last night. Make clean, crisp passes and perhaps we can better ourselves for 48 minutes total. We all know Kobe's playmaking ability. He's just been amazing this preseason, but Lamar Odom needs this game for confidence reasons. If Odom can't get his outside shot to fall tonight, then he must use that 6'11" frame of his and do some battle in the low post to use his inside game to his advantage, and grab some boards. Use the transition as an advantage. With Rudy T's new system, this team loves to use transition very similar to Dallas' run and gun type of offense. And finally, better defensive schemes and locking down on opponents particularly Sasha Vujacic. Emo's Prediction Since this is the preseason and nothing really important besides hopefully some adjustments the Lakers can make concerning last night's loss, but the Lakers should rebound and win this game by no more than five points.
the lakers did pretty good last night. 6 players scored in double digits which was rarely seen last season.they had 38 and 21 points in the paint and in fastbreak respectively. but the assist category did look very impressive with only 20 assists in the game. and Lamar looked good out there with 13 points and 9 rebounds. pretty good game overall.

Quoting Zoltar:

THe Bench did awesome and would be hard to choose between Bobitt and Brown so i just say keep both
It would be nice, but it's not gonna happen. Twelve on the active roster and three on the IR...that's all that's allowed. Including the injuries...the modified roster looks like this... C - Mihm/Grant/Divac PF - Odom/Cook/Medvedenko SF - Butler/Jones/Walton SG - Kobe/Rush/George PG - Atkins/Brown/Vujacic No room for Bobbitt. On the IR would be George, Vujacic and Medvedenko...possibly...it's just too hard to tell right now. I know alot of guys will say that it's bad to put Sasha on the IR, but who else?
I say we cut or trade Geroge and sign bobitt and brown who are both better than him and Sasha should be on the active roster, he is going to be great

You're cutting a guy who's on a 4 year, 21 million dollar contract, and you're going to sign a really unproven rookie with the roster spot? And also the fact that you're gonna put that guy on the IR? I really have to tell you that that simply doesn't make sense.
well George hasnt done anything consistent he could be great for 10 games and suck for 30. Bobitt has great shooting and Brown can drive to the basket and guard speedy PG's like parker
However, George has proven himself against NBA competition, while all the assupmtions on Bobbit has been his performance in college and summer league, all of which have been against inferior opposition. It just doesn't make sense to release a one-time starter to make space for a second round pick.

We need Tierre Brown...because Sasha Vujacic isn't showing a whole lot right now. A nice rotation of PG's, even if they aren't Kidd or Baron Davis, will be more effective than Atkins by himself. With Devean George out with an injury, we need to let him heal up and then trade him off for a draft pick. IF we can't do that, then it's time to buy out his contract so we can have room for Malone when (or if) he returns in January. George has a tendancy to NEVER play off the ball, which obviously hurt us last season a great deal, especially in the Detroit/Lakers Finals. Also, I'm considering our stock of SF's...those that are better than George and those that need more playing time for development...and Odom, Butler, and possibly even Luke Walton are all more valuable at this point than Devean George is.
