So far at half time it looks ugly. We're down by 11 now and Kobe has gone 3-14.. I just turned it on cause I forgot about this game and it was only a 3 point difference when i turned it on. Kobe's missed like 6 shots in a row..

although kobe had a good game in terms of points , i still thought he struggled from the field. And the lakers just did not play that good of a defensive game to stop san antonio, especialy tony parker who was amazing.

Go to sleep groupie....Kobe cost Lakers this game by trying to prove he can shoot well and take good shots against Bowen, he wasn't successful.

Though that didn't help, that wasn't what cost us the game. If you watched the Lakers when they made their runs they were playing great D, but the rest of the time their D was sloppy and inconsistent. Not being able to play consistent defense at the end of the game is what cost us.

Actually It had more to do with Parker and Manu to be honest, they droove to the basket at will. Lakers couldn't stop either, the Lakers just couldn't defend the pick and roll.

Yeah exactly, we didn't play good D and couldn't stop Manu and Parker. The pick and roll defense had gotten better in recent games, but all of a suddenly we didn't know how to defend that either again. Defense wins games.. unless you're the Mavericks or Kings.

Disturbing loss by the Lakers this afternoon. And with this winning streak ending at 11 games, there are people I must point to in this loss. First off, Kobe Bryant. I know he tried to prove a statement to Bowen to prove to him who's the man, but Bowen just completely shut him down. Harassed him, got into his head, and frustrated him. He tried to do too much on his own, created shots on his own without sticking to our Laker offense, and forced up too many ridiculous shots. Another guy: Rick Fox. Can anybody say the word BENCH? This guy just turned over the ball numerous times, make stupid passes that I even wouldn't do in a professional game, and just made himself look like a fool in the first half. Maybe we should return to Devean George as our starting SF.

It was a nice rally in the second half. WE did have the Spurs shaking in their boots in some moments of the game, but it all came down to San Antonio's speed with Parker and Ginobili penetrating to the basket and hitting clutch outside shots, and the contributing effort of Tim Duncan. With this loss, we're now back to the 3rd seed and 1/2 game behind the Sacramento Kings. All Laker fans circle your calendars for April 11th. Lakers/Kings. Could decide both the Pacific Division and homecourt advantage. Good luck fellas.

Man, I'm dissapointed, almost every shot Tim Duncan made were like wide open, when he took the shot every laker was like 5 feet away from him, lol.

I didn't worry the whole game, but they still lost. The best thing about this game is that Kobe got his most spectacular dunk of this season for him.

    Defense..the key word.
AND..I don't know if y'all saw the game , but i've never seen SHAQ being this NOT serious in a game..he didn't have a GAME FACE and it looked like he didn't want to do anything against Spurs in Defense AS WELL as Offense..

ALso not to forget..Karl malone was far out the best together with Payton on the court..but Malone get's way to little passes..if you look closely you will see Malone open almost every time when Lakers have ball , but rarely get's it.

FOX ..man i think i can play better than he does and i'm only 6'0" and probably would score more and get more boards. but face it lakers don't have anyone to put there on SF..Medvedenko is too slow and his D sucks. And Luke Walton..every1 hates him..

Fisher..the only one who looked like he wanted to win (Malone also..and KOBE).
AGAIN the refs were just being shitty as they always are ..joey crawford is a pain in the ass... Too bad he missed the wide-open 3..just as SHAQ shouldn't have taken that shot ..

On the many shots KOBE took..they weren't bad shots..they were almost all open shots created by himself..but they would all just RIM OUT..he just had a day off..normally they would have gotten in..he would have had 40 and LAKERS a W..

The LAKERS need to invest in a bench..and PHIL should sit shaq's ass , unless he want's to play hard.

Shout out to Tony Parker..he just did everything he wanted on payton ..

Next game Lakers will be 100% focused..

Actually, I though Malone's defense was spotty as well. He is usually the one that steps out on the picks to contain the drives to the basket but he just wasn't as effective. He even made a reference after the game about his [poop] defense and overall game.

The Spurs backcourt was the difference in this game. They were quicker to the ball and did a great job of attacking the basket. It just gave Parker and Gino more confidence to shoot from the perimeter and torch us in this game. This was the way the Spurs beat us in the playoffs last season, but I don't expect the Lakers to play as lacadasical come playoff time. Big win by the Spurs, and a disappointing loss by the Lakers. This loss means the game against the Kings at Arco is likely a must win game for the Lakers to get the top seed or the 2nd seed behind the TWolves. I didn't like the way Kobe played in the game either. Bowen baited him into a lot of one on one situations and simply drew him into Duncan and Rasho. Bowen is definitely in Kobe's head, and after the play where Bowen "pulled the seat from under Kobe," it just seemed Kobe became obsessed with scoring every time he touched the ball. Maybe the game would have played out differently if Shaq and Malone didn't have early foul trouble. The bottomline is the Spurs played a great game against us and handed us a tough loss at home.
