I was fortunate enough to be at this game, and never have I seen a crowd go more ballistic. As soon as Merriman sacked Cutler at the 7 yard line and recovered the fumble the whole stadium started chanting "LT! LT! LT!". Everyone was running around to find empty seats as close to the field as possible to get better views. As soon as the offense took the field all the fans were standing up screaming/clapping, and once Tomlinson crossed the goaline the stadium became deafening with all the cheers. Cannons were going off, people were throwing each other up in the air...There were a ton of people that even took off their Tomlinson jerseys and were running up and down the aisles waving them in the air..Once he scored the touchdown LT motioned for the whole offense to come into the endzone, and they lifted him up in the air and were congradulating him..It was awesome.. Afterwards they showed highlights of all the touchdowns he scored on the jumbotron, and he gave a great speech where he mentioned the hard work of his teammates and coaches..and how he appreciates the fans and stuff..He gave a ton of props to the Broncos as well, and all the Denver fans in the stadium were clapping for him too. It was a great day for the Chargers and definitely one of the coolest moments I'll remember..Sucks to all the Charger fans who left early to beat traffic and weren't able to witness NFL history!
Sucks to me too. I've become a huge LT fan this year and after the Packer game I had something up but I saw the Chargers close to the goal so I wanted to see him tie the record. He tied it and I left thinking he'd break it next week. Only when I got home in the evening I realized he broke it 5 minutes later. Most amazing thing is he only had 3 td's in the first 4 games I believe. You can tell how much his teamates and Marty love him
Congratulations go to Tomlinson. I've always liked him, he's a class act and one hell of a ball player. If he doesn't take MVP this year, I think a lot of people will be quite surprised. He's done everything you could ask of a RB and more. He could go down as one of the best if not the best in the history of the game and if he isn't awarded MVP this season then he is being robbed. Since the record has already been broken I'm now looking forward to seeing just how many TDs he can finish the year with. P.S. I'm jealous BoltPride. That would have been a memorable game to attend.
I like Brees but watching LT again tonight I don't see how the MVP can be a 2 man race. This is probably one of the greatest personal seasons a player has ever had. I also like how he respects the game going from Mr. Brown (as he calls him) to Walter Payton (who he says is the greatest) to Emmit. I always like players who know the tradition of the men that came before them
Whoever has him in their fantasy lineup this year has to be smiling. Whoever has to face him this year has to be frowning. I'll try to remain optimistic though and think that anything can happen and if anyone knows how to stop LT, it is Bill Belichick. I'm not trying to guarantee that the Pats will ever get to that point but if they do, I think they have a chance.

Honestly I think LT would probably run for over 200 yds if given the chance against us. Despite the outcome against Houston they did gash us pretty good with Ron Dayne on that one TD drive they had.
It seemed more like Tomlinson carried the team to most of there wins lets take a couple of reasons why 1. Tomlinson never had over 20 touchdowns 2. They have a new QB in Rivers 3.Drew Brees was the main core of the Chargers before I have more but i a little tired right now
