Hey everyone. I know it's early in the season but the future looks really bright for this squad. What are your predictions for the Lakers this year?

I say with the way things are looking now (without Kobe, Kwame, Mihm, and an injured Radmanovic) this team can easily win 55+ games when this team is 100%. And it's even believable that we can even make it to the conference finals.

So what are other people's predictions about this team?

I think the Lakers can be very good this season, and I mean very good. Obviously it's still too early to tell (it's only been 2 games), but I can't help but to feel excited about this team. We have been playing terrifically thus far, and to imagine our best player still hasn't stepped on the floor is just amazing. If this team somehow finds a way to get healthy, we can be very dangerous. Guys like Kwame and Mihm haven't even played a game for us yet. Not to mention Vlad isn't 100% either. I really do think this team has a big chance of advancing past the 1st round

Weren't our main guys healthy? [IMG] Again, this is still very early in the season. Most of our predictions probably won't amount to anything, and I may be a bit bias, but I just think this squad can be special this season

Yeah. I understand that this is the time of the year that teams are just trying to build up some team chemistry...but so are we -without key players. one can't help but be optimistic seeing guys like turiaf and luke take on other team's starters head to head

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Warriors did not look like a team in their opener, and they undoubtedly will put it together better as time goes by in their new system, but there was nothing as right on as what Baron Davis said about the Lakers after their victory:

This is what I'm talking about with this Laker team. Everyone is on the same page, and the chemistry is great. The only two people who have been disappointing so far are Smush and Sasha. Seems like Smush can't handle losing minutes to Farmar, and still gets caught up in showboating, and Sasha went from being a breakout player in preseason to a dud. If Sasha's not careful Shammond Williams might continue to take his minutes. Last game Shamu played 22 minutes, and Sasha only got 7.

I don't understand why Sasha can't play efficiently like he did in preseason. Shamu and Farmar will take his minutes as the season goes on.
